My vintage gold nugget watch. These watches were very popular here in Alaska, back in the early seventies.

For the great upcoming theme calles #vintage i decided to use an casette tape which lots of us remember. Back in the good old days we used those tapes to listen to our favorite music. And who of us don`t remember it when we had to roll up the mashed up tape by hand ?

The Compact Cassette or Musicassette (MC), also commonly called the tape cassette, cassette tape, audio cassette, or simply tape or cassette, is an analog magnetic tape recording format for audio recording and playback. Invented by Lou Ottens and his team at the Dutch company Philips in 1963, Compact Cassettes come in two forms, either already containing content as a prerecorded cassette (Musicassette), or as a fully recordable "blank" cassette. Both forms have two sides and are reversible by the user. Although other tape cassette formats have also existed - for example the Microcassette - the generic term cassette tape is normally always used to refer to the Compact Cassette because of its ubiquity.

Using a vintage film camera with a Porta 800 loaded and happy to see this beautiful vintage Pontiac downtown Chicago

A walk on the Farm. Just for appearances I changed the settings to vintage. I must be in a very adventurist mood tonight as I very rarely if ever do post production .

Vintage Washboard I am sure there are people who still use these, very labor intensive. This one has some age and wear, found in North Carolina.

This 4200 Report Monitor reel-to-reel tape recorder was manufactured by Uher factories in Munich in the early 1980s. It was primarily developed for professional use and was intended for use with 13 cm reels in half-track mode. The housing is made of robust die-cast aluminum, and in addition to numerous technical features, there were also many accessories, such as matching microphones, for use in interviews by reporters. The sound is excellent and enables perfect recordings in hi-fi quality! My device still works well and looks quite good.

Explored.

This is my sister - I was trying to do a more vintage look, but it turned out a little different than I wanted. Anyway - please tell me your thoughts on this!

Macro Mondays: "Anachronism" theme

Straight out of the 1950s, my dad’s 8mm home movie camera is about the size and weight of a brick. It includes a rotatable exposure calculator on the side, part of which is visible at the top of the frame. A sticker on the inside of the film compartment door says that the camera was last serviced in February, 1960.
