This beautiful statue of the Venus the Goddess of Love with her child Cupid was carved from Portland stone by an unknown sculptor in 18th century. It has been vandalised, restored and placed onto an island in the River Wandle separated from the main pass by two streams. It is now in a secluded place and not easy spotted by passers-by may not notice it. When I was taking a picture, a couple looked at the statue and said that they never knew it was there. A dawn study at 'the shallows' Bass Point, Shellharbour this morning. I usually come here a couple of times a year and today being the latest anniversary of my latest lap around the sun what better way to celebrate then getting a sunrise in.

Photographed from the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company's MANANNAN on her 17:15 sailing from Douglas we see Viking Cruises 2021 built ship VIKING VENUS near the Liverpool Bar outbound from Liverpool Cruise Terminal. Nearer the camera is CWind's CWIND SWORD an offshore windfarm support vessel also heading out bound.
The MS VIKING VENUS was operating a Bergen to Tilbury one way cruise.

Lovely dawn glow on a cold morning, -35 F (-37C) on the way to Fairbanks.
A bit of blue Earth shadow below, fragile pink Belt of Venus above, an atmospheric phenomenon we generally only see in winter sunrises/sunsets.
Sadly, I didn't bring a 'real' camera with me, apologies for the low-light resolution and quality.

Earth's "sister planet" a.k.a Venus. After the Moon, it is the brightest natural object in the night sky, reaching an apparent magnitude of −4.6, bright enough to cast shadows. That’s why I love this planet :o) . Today weather is keep changing! from the clean sky to cloudy, then raining! I must stop all the homework immediately because this weird weather! Insomnia is sucks, no sleep for the whole night. So this photo is taken early in the morning about 6.30am. have a nice day~

March 6th 2023, midnight, Antigua Rofera/ Lanzarote.
The bright "star" in the upper left corner is Venus, once it separated from Jupiter again. The planet, at its inferior conjunction is rather close to the earth and looks glorious.
This night, in the middle of the meteorological spring, Jupiter the largest and Venus, the brightest planet, created a spectacular glow, the moment it seemed like they were so close to one another that they almost kissed each other in the night sky.
Something to be melancholic about , because this will first happen again in 2032.

When Venus shines in the night sky, she eclipses all other lights with her incomparable beauty
A walk on Gress Beach, bathed in moonlight, with Venus setting in the west, the sound of the waves crashing on the reef out in the bay, the song of the grey seals, the cry of a lone seabird flying home to roost - a perfect way to end the day, and a cosy bed with some hot chocolate waiting at Mill View.
