A surprise move that came south from a coal mine near Carlinville was this train 430. This coal will go to the EVWR interchange at Mount Vernon and transload to barges(?) Made for a nice train moving down the VC Belt through East St. Louis. We kept moving so as to not make any new "friends". The tall elevator in the background is near I-64 and Winstanley (former interlocking with the L&N).

The Lockheed JetStar (company designations L-329 and L-1329; designated C-140 in USAF service) is a business jet produced from the early 1960s through the 1970s. The JetStar was the first dedicated business jet to enter service. It was also one of the largest aircraft in the class for many years, seating ten plus two crew. It is distinguishable from other small jets by its four engines, mounted on the rear of the fuselage in a similar layout to the larger Vickers VC10 airliner that first flew several years later, and the "slipper"-style fuel tanks fixed to the wings.

This one entered service in 1965 and was retired in 1979. Only 14 years spent flying!
A 737 that entered service in 1997 wouldn't be on it's way to a museum in 2011. It would still be considered nearly new. I guess the VC 10 was finished early to replace them with 747's, they would generate more revenue. It's all about £££'s.
In this small graveyard is buried James Munro who was awarded a Victoria Cross for his part in the battle of Lucknow, in India.
He died a pauper in 1871 and is buried without a gravestone.
here is a prototype of my CV scalar module. The slide pots represent the values of 0%, 12%, 25%, 37%, and so on, up to 100% - this is why there are 9 pots. The input CV is linearly scaled over this range and any values inbetween pots are proportionally scaled to a value inbetween the 2 slider positions. so this is not an analog step sequencer, but rather a transition sequencer with 8 transitional steps. It can be a CV Scalar, arbitrary LFO, arbitrary envelope, or has an attenuator mode to act like a VCA. The knobs offset and scale both the input and the output. The LED's fade between the pots proportional to the CV position.

Ao menos cinco árvores tombaram na zona sul de São Paulo (SP), na tarde desta segunda-feira. As quedas ocorreram em função dos fortes ventos que atingiram a cidade a partir das 14h30.
A Companhia de Engenharia de Tráfego (CET) registrou três casos na área. Na rua General Almério de Moura, próximo à avenida Morumbi, duas árvores de grande porte caíram.
Às 15h37, o órgão também atendeu ocorrência de uma árvore tombada na avenida Jornalista Roberto Marinho, na altura do número 900. As duas faixas no sentido do aeroporto de Congonhas ficaram ocupadas.
Na rua Comendador Miguel Calfat, no bairro Vila Olímpia, uma árvore caída atingiu os cabos de energia elétrica, causando faíscas.
Na avenida Engenheiro Luis Carlos Berrini, outra árvore de porte grande bloqueou a passagem de carros.O tráfego só voltou ao normal às 15h34, de acordo com a CET. Cristiano Giazzon, morador do bairro, afirma que os carros usavam a rua Michael Faraday para desviar da avenida.
Em Campo Belo, segundo o morador Emerson Dal Bem, galhos ficaram presos entre a fiação dos postes na rua Antônio Macedo de Soares.
