Back to Spitfires! This is a Mk Vc - the 'c' describes the armament load that could be carried in the wing. There was provision for some permutation of 4 cannon and 4 machine guns although, because of the weight, not all could be carried at the same time. A common configuration was 4 machine guns with 2 cannon as in this example. The Mk V Spitfire was essentially a Mk 1 with a more powerful Merlin engine fitted - nominally 1400 hp compared to just over 1000 hp of the original. However, the actual power available to the pilot depended to some extent on the octane rating of the fuel used. Supplies of 100 octane petroleum were imported from the USA; this high octane fuel was not available to the Luftwaffe and had a significant, but not often mentioned, impact on the air war in Europe.

It's really hard to capture the elegance of the VC-10.
Ideally a very wide angle lens would do the trick, 17mm's just is not wide enough.
Might be inspired by the famous photo of a VC woman walking with an M16 at a watercourse.
I have gotten more and more into the codl war and it's conflicts. I have switched my nma figs to yellow skin, I like the older look for them. I have a couple of both VC and NVA soldiers. I've also built two tuk tuks that I want to use in some MOC, haven't figured out what yet.
I watched the mini series called The same sky which was really good, now my most played playlist on spotify is a newly created 70-80s list. I built a couple of 50s cars, I both want to build a Saigon '68 MOC and a Berlin, haven't really found any inspiring photos for any of it, so I haven't started yet, please tell me if you do. ;)

A Brazilian Brasilia from Brasilia visiting Montevideo, a nice bonus. It's an Embraer Emb120 Brasilia (called VC-97 in the FAB) coming from Brasilia international airport.
2004 is still active in 2025 but in a grey colour scheme.
