Sound healing therapy is an ancient practice that utilizes the healing power of sound and vibration to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. It has gained popularity in recent years as a complementary approach to conventional medicine. In this presentation, we will explore the numerous benefits of sound healing therapy and how it can positively impact our lives.

## 1. Stress Reduction

One of the primary benefits of sound healing therapy is its ability to reduce stress. Stress is a common issue in today's fast-paced world and can lead to various physical and mental health problems. Sound healing uses soothing sounds and vibrations to induce a deep state of relaxation, allowing the body and mind to release stress and tension.

## 2. Enhanced Mental Clarity and Focus

Another advantage of sound healing therapy is its ability to enhance mental clarity and focus. The rhythmic patterns and frequencies used in sound therapy help synchronize brainwaves, promoting a state of mental coherence and balance. This can improve concentration, memory, and overall cognitive function.

## 3. Improved Sleep Quality

Sound healing therapy has shown promising results in improving sleep quality. The calming and harmonious sounds used in therapy help relax the mind and body, creating a conducive environment for restful sleep. It can be particularly beneficial for individuals suffering from insomnia or other sleep disorders.

## 4. Emotional Healing

Sound healing therapy has profound effects on emotional well-being. It can help release emotional blockages, reduce anxiety, and alleviate symptoms of depression. The vibrations produced by sound therapy stimulate the release of endorphins, which are natural mood-elevating chemicals in the brain.

## 5. Pain Management

Sound healing therapy has been found to be effective in managing chronic pain. The vibrations and frequencies used in therapy can help stimulate the body's natural healing mechanisms and reduce pain perception. It is often used as a complementary treatment for conditions such as fibromyalgia, arthritis, and migraines.

## 6. Balancing Energy Centers

In various spiritual traditions, it is believed that sound can balance and harmonize the body's energy centers, also known as chakras. Each chakra is associated with specific frequencies, and sound healing therapy uses corresponding tones to restore balance and vitality to these energy centers.

## 7. Enhanced Meditation and Mindfulness

Sound healing therapy can significantly enhance meditation and mindfulness practices. The soothing sounds and vibrations help create a meditative state, making it easier to achieve deep relaxation and inner peace. It can deepen the connection between the mind, body, and spirit, facilitating a profound sense of self-awareness.

We have been poorly utilizing some of the best shade on our property

for the last year. We had a out of control stack of wood that was to

be burned in our fire pit scattered all over the shade area. Today

Wendy and I made a terrible little stand out of some crell wood and

organized all the firewood on it. Now we have a big shady spot to

work in! The golf cart was helpful in moving the wood. Tomorrow we

will look into making a wagon to drag all our tools around the property.

There are some animal welfare workers utilizing all their (wherever his or her) abilities to help the strayed dogs and cats, but facing difficulties in gathering popularity and support due to several reasons, such as lack of knowledge in using social media. A group of volunteers entitled "I Share Pets Volunteering Services" (established in 2015) provide visits and assistance to them and their shelters, such as providing pet foods and hygiene items, repairing the animal homes and improving their living standards, and taking the poor pets for a walk, & etc. The only difference of "I Share Pets" from other animal welfare groups is they don't receive public donation, and instead providing information about these animal homes. (although it has a pets' items e-shop and 50% of its income supports its operation) For further information about "I Share Pets" please take a look at its facebook page (in Chinese): www.facebook.com/pg/isharepet2015/about/?ref=page_internal

A preschool student utilizes a set of visual cards to enhance his participation in class routines and learning opportunities.

How often is something exactly what it purports to be? Not an easy question to answer, but Glenwood Community School District has nailed it by embracing, embedding, and implementing Specially Designed Instruction into their preschool curriculum. Students are receiving exactly what the name implies, Specially Designed Instruction (SDI), aimed at meeting the educational needs of each individual student.

Some characteristics of Preschool SDI instruction include intentionality, abundant visuals, the amount of instruction, peer mediated interventions, and peer prompting. Successful SDI requires a collaborative, team approach for problem solving. A host of educational staff get together at least once a month, to discuss student progress based on the data recorded daily by the preschool teacher. They look to see if a goal is being worked on or if an instructional change is needed.

All five preschool teachers and classrooms in the district are on board with integration and delivery of SDI within the school day. All are part of a usability grant in various stages of execution (years one through four). Using specific criteria, early childhood consultants at Area Education Agencies (AEAs) recommended the best sites for grant funds to support the SDI work and provide professional development based on teacher feedback.

Utilizing unmanned aircraft systems, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers personnel are able to assess roof damage while undertaking Operation Blue Roof following Hurricane Michael in the Florida panhandle. This image was taken of a home in Panama City Beach, and highlights one of several ways drones are being used to estimate resources needed to make a repair and verify installations are done correctly. Utilizing several models of UAS, Corps of Engineers employees have been able to safely get a look at individual homes and quickly gather troves of data on large neighborhoods. Operation Blue Roof offers a more durable, professionally-installed reinforced plastic sheeting until homeowners can make arrangements for permanent repairs.

Utilizing the gallery exhibition space where wall meets floor, Horochowski reconstructs site-specific landscapes consisting of sculpture, digital photography, sound, fluorescent lights, carpeting, and other synthetic materials. Manufactured objects serve as proxies for nature that acknowledge the history of landscape painting, while sculptural objects function as props that can be continually rearranged, suggesting multiple narratives. Each sculpture is completed by the architecture of the gallery and the visitor.

Confounding more traditional attitudes towards sculptural material, powder coats, sprayed chrome, and auto paint enamels mask bronze, brass, and iron. Emphasizing process over product, Horochowski invites visitors to interact with each sculpture, and imagine its origin and evolution.

FORT IRWIN, Calif. -- The 2916th Aviation Battalion utilized an off-cycle window in their calendar March 20 - 23 to conduct brigade-level training in the National Training Center's "Box". The exercise culminated at the Fort Irwin Weed Army Community Hospital (WACH) March 23.

The goal of the training is to test readiness as well as hone emergency medical skills among the participating service members. One simulation presented the participants with an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attack on a troop transport that resulted in 16 casualties. The role players required triage at the point of injury in the training area, then airlifted back to the WACH on Fort Irwin for treatment. This was a large-scale training module that involved complex planning.

To make the exercise as authentic as possible training units had no warning of what they would encounter throughout the course of the event and participants were alerted only as the scenario unfolded, just as if the casualties and events were real. Large casualty events of this kind take a special type of planning coordination, material and geography to execute, and even more consideration to undertake, which makes the NTC an ideal venue for such training.

The 2916th assumed the role of air medevac, requiring multiple airlifts to bring all casualties back to the WACH, where staff members prioritized, stabilized and treated the mock casualties, then prepared to fly any they determined needing specialized care beyond WACH capabilities to other nearby available medical facilities for more extensive treatment.

WILLIAM BLACKSTONE

Massachusetts about ten miles north of Worcester, and flows in a southeasterly direction, entering Rhode Island at the northeast. Although comparatively an insignificant stream, in every portion of its course it is utilized to drive mill wheels, its banks are dotted with a succession of towns and villages, and it was probably been made to work in the service of man, like a fabled giant, more than any other river of its size in the country. The river is named in honor of William Blackstone, or Blaxton, an English clergyman, the first white settler in Rhode Island of which any record exists. He has also the unique distinction of being the first white settler on the peninsula of Shawmut, Where the city of Boston now stands. He is supposed to have settled there as early as 1623*, for before the arrival of the Puritans in 1630 he had brought an orchard to maturity. At his invitation, Winthrop and his people crossed the stream from their first habitation at Charlestown and settled at Shawmut. It has been claimed that the new comers at first disputed Blackstone’s right to the territory on the plea that they had a grant from the king of England but he is said to have answered that a title based on occupancy was superior to one resting on the king’s asserted sovereignty, which had no other foundation than the fact that John and Sebastian Cabot had sailed along the coast. The Puritans finally recognized his right to at least a portion of the territory, set off to him 50 acres—where his house and orchard stood—and admitted him a freeman, May 18, 1631, before that right was restricted to church members. Although an ordained minister of the Established Church of England, Blackstone had become an extreme independent, with a belief in freedom of conscience and a dislike to religious forms and ceremonies. The intolerance of the Puritans evidently irritated him, for in 1634 he sold a large part of his land for £30 and ventured forth into the wilderness in search of a new abode. Tradition reports him to have said in explanation of his course, “I came from England because I did not like the Lord-Bishops, but I cannot join with you because I would not be under the Lord-Brethren.”

*In a manuscript note to an address on “Blackstone” delivered at Lonsdale, July 4, 1855, by S. C. Newman, it is said that Blackstone came to America with Gorges expedition in 1623. This note was written and signed by Mr. Newman himself.

Built in 1949-1951, this Modern building was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and Marshall Erdman to house the First Unitarian Society of Madison, utilizing a strong emphasis on the geometry of triangles in its design. The First Unitarian Society of Madison was founded in 1879, and two of its founding members were William Cary Wright and Anna Lloyd Jones, the parents of Frank Lloyd Wright, and was comprised primarily of those who followed Jenkin Lloyd Jones, Frank Lloyd Wright’s uncle. Frank Lloyd Wright was a member of the church as well. The Unitarians completed their first building in Madison in 1885, which was located downtown, and was the home of the local Unitarian congregation until they sold the building in 1951 and moved to Shorewood Hills, a suburb of Madison located west of the University of Wisconsin - Madison campus. The budget for the church was exceeded by a factor of 3, owing to unforeseen complications during the construction process, and led to members of the church taking on some of the labor to build it. After its completion, the church was widely celebrated as a highly innovative church design, and influenced the design of many Modernist churches in the United States during the subsequent two decades.

The building is a long, mostly low structure underneath a copper and wood roof that follows the topography of the site, with it being more open with larger windows facing towards the adjacent University Bay Drive to the north, and less open towards the parking area to the south. The roof is hipped with low eaves, the lowest of which is about 5 feet above the sidewalk, right at the building’s original main entrance. The exterior is clad in limestone, with both vertical punched opening windows and long horizontal bands of ribbon windows on the wings flanking the “upper meeting house,” which terminate at the entrance at the southeast corner of the building and a fellowship hall in a pointed section at the northwest corner of the building. The most notable feature of the building is the “upper meeting house,” a tall space with a tall triangular pointed roof that slopes to a low eave at the south face of the building, and a facade on the north side of the building that tapers to a narrow point reminiscent of the prow of a ship, which is wrapped by a planter at the base and a glass curtain walls with angled mullions above, and resembles hands folded in prayer. The roof of the space is supported by hinged arch trusses that are supported by being counterbalanced at the eaves, forming a 64-foot span with no interior supports. The interior of the pointed section of the building is home to an organ and a simple limestone altar, with the light from the prow window in the front of the space being diffused by several light shelves. The ceiling features multiple soffits in the rear that have similar triangular shapes to the rest of the building, a glass storefront with a pointed top that contains two doors to a terrace outside, and a stone wall that penetrates up through the roof, appearing much like a chimney.

The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2004. The building complex has been expanded multiple times as the congregation has grown into one of the largest Unitarian organizations in the United States, necessitating additions to be built to the southwest of the original classroom wing in 1965 and 1990, designed by Taliesin Associated Architects and mimicking the footprint, exterior cladding, window placement, and layout of the original building, but with low-slope roofs instead of hipped roofs. In 2008, the church received a massive contemporary addition to the rear to house an additional worship space and community spaces, designed by Kubala Washatko Architects, and meant to both preserve the historic landscape around the original building and embody similar design principles. The building is maintained under the stewardship of the non-profit Friends of the Meeting House, Inc., which has existed since the 1970s to address the building’s various preservation and maintenance needs. The church today remains in use as an active worship space for the original congregation, which also allows various community groups to utilize its facilities.

A culturally-sensitive project that utilizes the power of design to tell the story of a tragic event in which the City of Tacoma, Washington forcibly expelled its Chinese community in the late 1800’s. By creating a context-sensitive landscape design and by providing an integrated interpretive signage program along the park’s pathways, the design of this project educates people about this event and promotes peace, harmony, reconciliation and cultural understanding within the City of Tacoma.

Every spot visit was optimally time-bound in our whole 8-day conducted tour. So I had to take snaps as much as possible to tell you a story of my visit. It was really a laborious task to cover as many elements as possible within that short span of time. This is for the reason I utilized every opportunities I could avail...like majorities of my landscape photographs were taken from our running bus, and I really enjoyed it to do so.

This is a series of photographs representing the rich cultural heritage of native Indians of North America. My whole effort will not go to vane if you really like and appreciate this small effort of mine.

About the Monument

The Crazy Horse Memorial is a mountain monument under construction on privately held land in the Black Hills, in Custer County, South Dakota, United States. It will depict the Oglala Lakota warrior, Crazy Horse, riding a horse and pointing into the distance. The memorial was commissioned by Henry Standing Bear, a Lakota elder, to be sculpted by Korczak Ziolkowski. It is operated by the Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation, a nonprofit organization.

The memorial master plan includes the mountain carving monument, an Indian Museum of North America, and a Native American Cultural Center. The monument is being carved out of Thunderhead Mountain, on land considered sacred by some Oglala Lakota, between Custer and Hill City, roughly 17 miles from Mount Rushmore. The sculpture's final dimensions are planned to be 641 feet wide and 563 feet high. The head of Crazy Horse will be 87 feet high; by comparison, the heads of the four U.S. Presidents at Mount Rushmore are each 60 feet high.

The monument has been in progress since 1948 and is far from completion. If completed, it may become the world's largest sculpture.

[ Custer City- is generally considered to be the oldest town established by European Americans in the Black Hills of South Dakota and Wyoming. Gold was found there during the 1874 Black Hills Expedition, conducted by the 7th Cavalry led by Lt. Colonel George Armstrong Custer, a discovery which initiated the Black Hills Gold Rush.

For thousands of years, the Black Hills had been part of the territory of varying tribes of indigenous peoples. They were within historical territory of the Oglala Sioux at the time of United States encounter, and within the Great Sioux Reservation established by the US Treaty of Fort Laramie (1868). Having established dominance in the area by the eighteenth century, the Oglala Sioux had long considered the Black Hills as sacred land]

Who was Crazy Horse?

Crazy Horse was a Native American war leader of the Oglala Lakota. He took up arms against the U.S. Federal government to fight against encroachments on the territories and way of life of the Lakota people. His most famous actions against the U.S. military included the Fetterman Fight (21 December 1866) and the Battle of the Little Bighorn (25–26 June 1876). He surrendered to U.S. troops under General Crook in May 1877 and was fatally wounded by a military guard, while allegedly resisting imprisonment. He ranks among the most notable and iconic of Native American tribal members and was honored by the U.S. Postal Service in 1982 with a 13¢ postage stamp that is part of its Great Americans series.

History of the monument

Korczak Ziolkowski and Henry Standing Bear.

Henry Standing Bear ("Mato Naji"), an Oglala Lakota chief, and well-known statesman and elder in the Native American community, recruited and commissioned Polish-American sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski to build the Crazy Horse Memorial in the Black Hills of South Dakota. In October 1931, Luther Standing Bear, Henry's older brother, wrote sculptor Gutzon Borglum, who was carving the heads of four American presidents at Mount Rushmore. Luther suggested that it would be "most fitting to have the face of Crazy Horse sculpted there. Crazy Horse is the real patriot of the Sioux tribe and the only one worthy to place by the side of Washington and Lincoln." Borglum never replied. Thereafter, Henry Standing Bear began a campaign to have Borglum carve an image of Crazy Horse on Mt. Rushmore. In summer of 1935, Standing Bear, frustrated over the stalled Crazy Horse project, wrote to James H. Cook, a long time friend of Chief Red Cloud's "I am struggling hopelessly with this because I am without funds, no employment and no assistance from any Indian or White."

On November 7, 1939, Henry Standing Bear wrote to the Polish-American sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski, who worked on Mount Rushmore under Gutzon Borglum. He informed the sculptor, "My fellow chiefs and I would like the white man to know that the red man has great heroes, too." Standing Bear also wrote a letter to Undersecretary Oscar Chapman of the Department of the Interior, offering all his own fertile 900 acres (365 ha) in exchange for the barren mountain for the purpose of paying honor to Crazy Horse. The government responded positively, and the National Forest Service, responsible for the land, agreed to grant a permit for the use of the land, with a commission to oversee the project. Standing Bear chose not to seek government funds and relied instead upon influential Americans interested in the welfare of the American Indian to privately fund the project.

In the spring of 1940, Ziolkowski spent three weeks with Standing Bear at Pine Ridge, South Dakota, discussing land ownership issues and learning about Crazy Horse and the Lakota way of life. According to Ziolkowski, "Standing Bear grew very angry when he spoke of the broken Treaty of Fort Laramie (1868). That was the one I'd read about in which the President promised the Black Hills would belong to the Indians forever. I remember how his old eyes flashed out of that dark mahogany face, then he would shake his head and fall silent for a long while."

Memorial foundation

The memorial is a non-profit undertaking, and receives no federal or state funding. The Memorial Foundation charges fees for its visitor centers and earns revenue from its gift shops. Ziolkowski reportedly was offered US$10 million for the project from the federal government on two occasions, but he turned the offers down. He felt the project was more than just a mountain carving, and he feared that his plans for the broader educational and cultural goals of the memorial would be overturned by federal involvement.

After Ziolkowski died in 1982 at age 74, his widow Ruth Ziolkowski, took charge of the sculpture, overseeing work on the project as CEO from the 1980s to the 2010s. Ruth Ziolkowski decided to focus on the completion of Crazy Horse's face first, instead of the horse as her husband had originally planned.[13] She believed that Crazy Horse's face, once completed, would increase the sculpture's draw as a tourist attraction, which would provide additional funding. She also oversaw the staff, which included seven of her children.

Sixteen years later, in 1998, the face of Crazy Horse was completed and dedicated.

Ruth Ziolkowski died 21 May 2014, aged 87. Monique Ziolkowski, Ruth's daughter, became CEO and three of her siblings continue to work on the project, as well as three of Monique's nephews.

Completed vision

The memorial is to be the centerpiece of an educational/cultural center, to include a satellite campus of the University of South Dakota, with a classroom building and residence hall, made possible by a US$2.5 million donation in 2007 from T. Denny Sanford, a philanthropist from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It is called the University and Medical Training Center for the North American Indian and the Indian Museum of North America. The current visitor complex will anchor the center. Sanford also donated US$5 million to the memorial, to be paid US$1 million a year for five years as matching donations were raised, specifically to further work on the horse's head.

Controversies

Crazy Horse resisted being photographed and was deliberately buried where his grave would not be found. Ziolkowski envisioned the monument as a metaphoric tribute to the spirit of Crazy Horse and Native Americans. He reportedly said, "My lands are where my dead lie buried." His extended hand on the monument is to symbolize that statement.

Fiber Cement Clay Sculpture Art.This feature was created utilizing an application of fiber cement clay over a metal armature. Beginning with a found metal circular object, hand formed petals were attached using wire and plastic zip ties. The petals were formed by cutting pieces of expanded metal lath. The lath was then folded several times to achieve a stronger working platform. The pieces were then bent and shaped to the desired size. Carefully attention was paid to the size of the armature to accommodate the bulk of the fished product. The flower head armature was then attached to the stalk, which was created by using a 1 and1/2inch steel pipe. Three pieces of rebar were bent and welded to the pipe to create the neck of the stalk. The leaves on the sunflower where created by using expanded metal lath in the similar process as the flower petals. These leaves were then attached to rebar that was welded to the metal pipe stalk. www.jennifermcgee.com

Custom sheet metal fabrication services is a comprehensive cold working process for sheet metal fabrication manufacturers to produce sheet metal (usually less than 6mm thickness), including shearing, punching/cutting/compounding, folding, welding, riveting, splicing, forming.

Sheet Metal Fabrication Benefits

Most sheet metal parts consist of multiple bends and cuts. Sheet metal fabrication service utilizes a variety of different techniques, including custom sheet metal bending, custom metal plate cutting, and sheet metal fabrication welding. Sheet metal fabrication service is used in a wide variety of industries. In automotive sheet metal components manufacturing, sheet metal parts are used to create car frames, bumpers and grills; in the construction industry they are used to build fences; in landscaping they can be utilized to create decorative gates or arbors.

With precise control over each aspect of the prototype service manufacturing process, sheet metal fabrication suppliers are able to deliver superior results. Precision and accuracy are key to successful fabrication metal sheet . Without them, your project will be a disaster. A good design is needed in order to achieve the desired effect.

Sheet metal fabrication service is a versatile and customizable method of creating products. The low cost sheet of metal fabrication material makes it ideal for use in mass production, and its durability makes it perfect for long-lasting solutions.

The wide range of applications for sheet metal fabrication is one of the most important benefits. Sheet metal parts can be used to create anything from simple household goods such as light fixtures and bird feeders to complex machinery like airplanes and rockets. Additionally, sheet metal parts can be formed into parts with shapes that are not possible using other methods such as molding or casting; this gives precision sheet metal fabrication manufacturers more freedom when designing their products!

Sheet Metal Fabrication Material

Precise sheet metal fabrication service is a manufacturing process that has been used for many years to create parts from raw materials. The process involves precision sheet metal cutting, bending and joining flat pieces of metal. There are many different types of metal available in sheet metal forming process including aluminum, steel and other metals. There are titanium sheet metal fabrication, copper sheet metal fabrication and steel sheet metal fabrication.

They range from aluminum, mild steel and stainless steel to copper, brass and bronze alloys. Some metals are more common than others depending on the job at hand. For instance, steel is probably the most commonly used material for sheet metal fabrication because it can be cut easily with a saw or plasma cutter and welded together easily by various methods. If you want to fabricate something out of titanium you will need to look into special machines designed for this purpose because it is much harder than other metals to cut or weld with regular tools like torches and welding equipment.

Some metals are stronger than others as well as being more expensive so they may not always be worth using if there is another option available such as galvanized steel which combines iron with zinc making it cheaper but still strong enough for most jobs requiring strength like fencing panels or vehicle parts such as bumpers mounts etc... Other materials include zinc which usually comes in sheets pre-coated with lacquer or enamel paint so they do not rust easily .

Sheet Metal Fabrication Process

Sheet metal fabrication service is the intricate process where various pieces of sheet metal are bent, cut and welded together to create a product. The most common type of sheet metal fabrication includes the steps of cutting, forming and welding.

Sheet cutting service

After you've determined what piece of sheet metal you need, it is time to cut it. Sheet cutting service is done with a saw or punch.

Laser metal forming

The forming process is a critical part of the sheet metal fabrication process. It consists of bending sheet metal into a desired shape using a variety of tools, including hammers, dies and presses.

One common example is when you're going to cut out a piece of sheet metal with a saw blade. You have to clamp your material down so it doesn't move around while you're cutting through it. If you don't clamp it down properly then there's going to be too much movement in your material and this can result in an inaccurate cut or even worse: having to start over from scratch.

Welding sheet metal fabrication

Welding sheet metal fabrication is the process of joining metal by melting it. When you weld one piece to another, they become one solid piece. Welding is often used in construction projects or manufacturing.

In welding, you use a welder and electricity to heat up the bare metal until it melts and flows together. You can weld many different types of metals, including steel and aluminum. This type of welding is called “stick welding” because you have to keep a stick of heated material moving over the pieces being joined as they're being melted together by an arc between them generated by an electric current passing through the wire from your welder through an electrode holder connected to your workpiece

Finishing

Finishing is the final step of the fabrication process, and it's an important one. Because the product has been built up from raw materials, you want to make sure that it looks good. Finishing can include painting and powder coating. It could also include plating or polishing. Finally, adding decorative elements like logos or labels are also considered finishing touches.
