Expanded or exfoliated vermiculite is utilized based upon its intended application which would determine the size/quality of material (or grade) to be used. For example, smaller grades may have been used in acoustical ceiling/wall treatments and small-to-moderate flakes might have been used as an additive in surfacing plasters or in the once popular spray-applied fireproofing materials, such as proprietary Monokote with Libby-vermiculite produced by WR Grace.
Also shown in background are a few examples of Zonolite advertisements and marketing tools. Celebrity endorsements seem to add a touch of credibility to their featured products, such as using Bing Crosby's face on a Zonolite "leveling rake", even despite the later proven toxic nature of Zonolite.
Another build utilizing some old Znap elements. Seats two minifigures and has fold down ladders and opening cab for them. Extra weapons storage behind the seats as well.
I made two different missile loadout options: one simply for aesthetics, and the other using technic missile launchers on a ball joint arm for play potential. Threw in the small comm tower as a bonus, since I wanted to use the Insectoids legs.

After missing the first two days of Texans training camp before agreeing to a five-year, $14 million contract Saturday, outside linebacker Brian Cushing is eager to get on the practice field today with his new teammates.
Cushing, the first-round draft choice from Southern California, is getting $10.435 million in guaranteed money to become the starter on the strong side and help improve a defense that ranked 22nd last season, including 23rd against the run.
“I’m just relieved and excited to have this done,” Cushing said. “I’m ready to play football and help the team win.”
Cushing (6-3, 262) was in Los Angeles when agent Tom Condon reached the agreement with general manager Rick Smith and director of football administration Chris Olsen.
Cushing’s contract could be worth a maximum of $18 million over five years.
In the fifth year of his deal, there’s a clause that could earn him an additional $4 million in an escalator bonus.
Odds are that Cushing’s contract will be extended before he enters the fifth season in 2013.
Smith and Olsen will have all eight of their draft choices under contract when the Texans take the field for the third day of two-a-day drills at their Methodist Training Center.
“It’s very important to have him signed,” coach Gary Kubiak said. “Rick and Chris were up at 3 in the morning trying to get it done. They’ve done a good job.
“Brian’s two days behind now, but he didn’t miss anything we did in the offseason program, so that’s a good thing. He wanted to be here while we were working on the contract, but he couldn’t.”
Rookies who have signed with the Texans report a week early for conditioning and meetings before practicing for the first time with the veterans. Cushing wanted to report with the rookies.
He was working out at Reliant Stadium last week when the Texans had to explain league rules that forced him to leave.
Cushing took what turned out to be a quick trip back to Los Angeles. He returned to Houston on Saturday afternoon.
Texans coaches are excited to get him on the practice field.
“We’re going to put the pads on (Sunday morning), and I know he’s chomping at the bit to get out there,” Kubiak said.
After the Texans used the 15th pick in the first round on Cushing, they inserted him into the starting lineup. He impressed his coaches in the organized team activities and minicamp.
“We like his presence on the ball,” Kubiak said, meaning Cushing has a knack for finding the ball and making plays. “He’s playing over the tight end, and we’re going to ask him to do a great deal. We think he can handle it.
“Brian’s very athletic. He’s physical against the run. He can rush the passer. He can drop into coverage. We brought him here for a reason, and we’re going to put him to work real fast.”
Frank Bush, who is in his first season as defensive coordinator, has to make calls that maximize Cushing’s strengths. The faster Cushing learns, the quicker Bush plans to utilize all his talent.
“We’re going to try to take advantage of all his talent,” Bush said. “Because he’s such a talented kid, there are a lot of things we can do with him.”
The coaches say they think Cushing has everything it takes to become a star at his position.
“Brian can turn and run with the tight end,” Bush said. “He’s big and strong enough to strike them at the line of scrimmage and nullify some of their speed down the field, so we’re comfortable with him in coverage.
“His ability also gives us a chance to be aggressive toward the quarterback. He’s a big guy who’s shown he can get there.”

A textile shop. This design is typical contemporary Japanesque country style. This utilizes building which used to be a storage. I like this taste.
The name of the shop written in the Noren 暖簾, japanese store curtain in idigo, is "蔵布都", which reads "kura-fu-toh", attributed to "craft". Each chinese character means "storage-textile-city". Together with logotype, it's elegant.
In other point of view, this is a desperate struggle. Those small towns, which used to prosper as a central town of the region, are mostly now already declined. Most of the stores in the town had been closed. Customers go to nearby big shopping mall. In the town it is done with a few convenience shop like 7-11. Under such circumstances some young successors of merchants are struggling to revive the town.
I visited this town during the holiday season, when big city's downtowns, famous recreational places are jammed with people. THis town was almost vacant.
I dropped in this store, and spend pleasant talk with the owner for a while, and no other guest did not came. It is really prestige. Free parking and many places to welcome visitor offerring free seat and tea. While I was chatting with the owner of the shop, he never requested or suggested me to buy something.
It was nice walking around the old charming merchants' town. (^_^) I hope foreign travelers will visit such nameless, common old small town, as they do typically in European counties. Japanese people would notice the charm if foreigners appreciate such town, because many Japanese still worship foreign people, especially western people (^.^; Otherwise, will you come to Japan firstly to visit Tokyo Disney Land?

During this period, Chevrolet utilized names of certain people groups to differentiate the load capacity categories of the trucks.
'Apache' was used for their lighter duty trucks. 'Viking' for medium duty and 'Spartan' for their heavy duty line. I suppose that each of those identities had a reputation for toughness!
For this body style that included model years 1960-1966, Chevrolet used quad headlights, 5-3/4” diameter for two model years, 1960-1961. From 1962-on they used two headlights, 7” diameter. The very similar GMC pickups utilized quad headlights for the entire span of that generation.
Jackson Lake is in Grand Teton National Park in northwestern Wyoming. This natural lake was enlarged by the construction of the Jackson Lake Dam, which was originally built in 1911, enlarged in 1916 and rebuilt by 1989. The top 33 ft (10 m) of the lake is utilized by farmers in Idaho for irrigation purposes. The lake is the remnant of large glacial gouging from the neighboring Teton Range to the west and the Yellowstone Plateau to the north. The lake is primarily fed by the Snake River, which flows in from the north, and empties at Jackson Lake Dam. Jackson Lake is one of the largest high altitude lakes in the United States, at an elevation of 6,772 ft (2,064 m) above sea level. The lake is up to 15 mi (24 km) long, 7 mi (11 km) wide and 438 ft (134 m) deep. The water of the lake averages below 60 °F (16 °C), even during the summer. Numerous species of fish inhabit the lake including nonnative brown and lake trout and the native Snake River fine-spotted cutthroat trout and mountain whitefish. There are over 15 islands in the lake, including the largest, Elk Island, and Donoho Point. John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Memorial Parkway is located near the northern end of Jackson Lake and extends to the south entrance of Yellowstone National Park. This roadway combines with the roads in Grand Teton National Park that follow the eastern side of the lake, and provides access for boating and fishing. There are several marinas and lodges along the eastern shore such as Leeks marina, Colter Bay Village, Jackson Lake Lodge and Signal Mountain Lodge. All of these except Jackson Lake Lodge have boat access points and ramps. The western shore of Jackson Lake is primitive, with only hiking trails and a handful of primitive campground spots. Grand Teton National Park is a United States National Park in northwestern Wyoming. At approximately 310,000 acres (480 sq mi; 130,000 ha; 1,300 km2), the park includes the major peaks of the 40-mile-long (64 km) Teton Range as well as most of the northern sections of the valley known as Jackson Hole. It is only 10 miles (16 km) south of Yellowstone National Park, to which it is connected by the National Park Service-managed John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Memorial Parkway. Along with surrounding National Forests, these three protected areas constitute the almost 18,000,000-acre (7,300,000 ha) Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, one of the largest intact mid-latitude temperate ecosystems in the world. Human history of the Grand Teton region dates back at least 11,000 years, when the first nomadic hunter-gatherer Paleo-Indians began migrating into the region during warmer months pursuing food and supplies. In the early 19th century, the first White explorers encountered the eastern Shoshone natives. Between 1810 and 1840, the region attracted fur trading companies that vied for control of the lucrative beaver pelt trade. U.S. Government expeditions to the region commenced in the mid-19th century as an offshoot of exploration in Yellowstone, with the first permanent white settlers in Jackson Hole arriving in the 1880s. Efforts to preserve the region as a national park commenced in the late 19th century, and in 1929 Grand Teton National Park was established, protecting the major peaks of the Teton Range. The valley of Jackson Hole remained in private ownership until the 1930s, when conservationists led by John D. Rockefeller, Jr. began purchasing land in Jackson Hole to be added to the existing national park. Against public opinion and with repeated Congressional efforts to repeal the measures, much of Jackson Hole was set aside for protection as Jackson Hole National Monument in 1943. The monument was abolished in 1950 and most of the monument land was added to Grand Teton National Park. Grand Teton National Park is named for Grand Teton, the tallest mountain in the Teton Range. The naming of the mountains is attributed to early 19th-century French-speaking trappers—les trois tétons (the three teats) was later anglicized and shortened to Tetons. At 13,775 feet (4,199 m), Grand Teton abruptly rises more than 7,000 feet (2,100 m) above Jackson Hole, almost 850 feet (260 m) higher than Mount Owen, the second-highest summit in the range. The park has numerous lakes, including 15-mile-long (24 km) Jackson Lake as well as streams of varying length and the upper main stem of the Snake River. Though in a state of recession, a dozen small glaciers persist at the higher elevations near the highest peaks in the range. Some of the rocks in the park are the oldest found in any U.S. National Park and have been dated at nearly 2.7 billion years. Grand Teton National Park is an almost pristine ecosystem and the same species of flora and fauna that have existed since prehistoric times can still be found there. More than 1,000 species of vascular plants, dozens of species of mammals, 300 species of birds, more than a dozen fish species and a few species of reptiles and amphibians exist. Due to various changes in the ecosystem, some of them human-induced, efforts have been made to provide enhanced protection to some species of native fish and the increasingly threatened whitebark pine. Grand Teton National Park is a popular destination for mountaineering, hiking, fishing and other forms of recreation. There are more than 1,000 drive-in campsites and over 200 miles (320 km) of hiking trails that provide access to backcountry camping areas. Noted for world-renowned trout fishing, the park is one of the few places to catch Snake River fine-spotted cutthroat trout. Grand Teton has several National Park Service-run visitor centers, and privately operated concessions for motels, lodges, gas stations and marinas.

I wanted to share this video with you all because this sow is one I have seen every year I have been here. She has a distinctive hair pattern around her neck, which is longer than other sows I have seen. And I have seen her enough to be familiar with her. She is looking a bit older than the last time I saw her and as you can see, she has 3 cubs, one of which was the really tiny one I posted a bit ago.
That tiny cub is much lighter in color and about half the size of its siblings so we are all hoping that little one will make it through the winter. We're hopeful mom will have enough milk to get that little one and the other two through hibernation. Time will tell.
The tiny cub I am referring to is in the first comment box below in case you didn't see the original post and are interested

The Independence Trail in Nevada County utilizes the old water flues that were used by the gold mines back in the 19th century. The flues have been reinforced to provide a walking bridge across the deeper canyons.
The Independence Trail is one of the those good Karma places. It was designed to be handicap accessible for a mile in either direction from the starting point. I for one, take my mobility for granted. It's great to have a place that caters to those who are not as lucky, and who have the desire to experience some leisure time in a beautiful natural setting.

A spring stilt utilizing compression springs on each foot was patented in 1891 by George H. Herrington of Wichita, Kansas, "for leaping great distances and heights". This was an antecedent of the pogo stick as well as today's spring stilts.
The modern eponymously named pogo stick was invented by Max Pohlig and Ernst Gottschall, from Germany. A German patent was registered in Hanover on March 1920 for a device they called a "spring end hopping stilt". It is thought that the beginning two letters in these men's last names is where the word "pogo" comes from.
George Hansburg patented the first pogo stick in America in 1919 at the request of Gimble's Department Store. It seems that Gimbles had ordered a batch of pogo sticks from Germany, but the toys rotted in the dampness of the ship during the long voyage to America.

For someone who utilizes color as a substantial part of their composition, shooting black & white is the equivalent of trying to learn to play a classical acoustic once you’ve already spent your teens banging away some heavily-distorted metal.
At some point, if you desire to be a well-rounded musician, you need to learn how to turn the volume down.
And so begins my severely neglected education into monochrome; as favorable as I am to framing my subject in thick shadows, you’d think I’d be more adept to the style… I’m not.
Another redo utilizing newer ca reduction software. Ca's were the bugaboo of this lens and a main reason I so quickly sold it when I moved to full fame. It still would have had value otherwise as I could shoot it in full frame mode without vignetting from 18-24 mm. I am much happier with this rendition than my earliest one. I did post a revised image before but I can no longer find that version in my library.
I will probably continue to work on older images as I hibernate during the unphotogenic Tulsa winter.

While the Blood Iron assassins mostly struck their targets in their homes and rarely engaged in open combat, they still utilized a variety of vehicles. The backbone of their activities were aircrafts called Blades. The name Blade stem from both, the Blood Iron’s affinity with swords and the peculiar silhouette of the aircraft. It consisted mostly of two enormous engines and the thin main shaft on which they were mounted. While not heavily armed or armored, the Blade was perfectly suited for the Blood Irons, because it could get them to their target quickly and back home even quicker. The craft could carry two Blood Iron Assassins, who hang from the main shaft in hammock like cockpits. In case of emergency those cockpits could be detached and functioned as a kind of escape pod. Different kind of pods could be attached, some featuring weapons like machine guns and rocket launchers. Besides that, the craft featured elaborate landing gear, necessary to support the enormous weight of the engines, when not in flight. Of course, these crafts were only seldomly seen by anyone, as the assassins usually got away before any of their targets or their guards even noticed their presence, only hearing the faint roar of the engines as the craft vanished into the sky.

Petra (Arabic: البتراء, Al-Batrāʾ; Ancient Greek: Πέτρα), originally known as Raqmu (Nabataean Arabic: الرقيم), is a historical and archaeological city in southern Jordan. Petra lies on the slope of Jabal Al-Madbah in a basin among the mountains which form the eastern flank of Arabah valley that run from the Dead Sea to the Gulf of Aqaba. Established possibly as early as the 4th century BC as the capital city of the Nabataean Kingdom. The Nabataeans were nomadic Arabs who invested in Petra's proximity to the trade routes by establishing it as a major regional trading hub.
The trading business gained the Nabataeans considerable revenue, and Petra became the focus of their wealth. The earliest recorded historical reference to the city was when an envious Greek dynasty attempted to ransack the city in 312 BC. The Nabataeans were, unlike their enemies, accustomed to living in the barren deserts, and were able to repel attacks by utilizing the area's mountainous terrain. They were particularly skillful in harvesting rainwater, agriculture and stone carving. The Kingdom's capital continued to flourish until the 1st century AD when its famous Al-Khazneh facade was constructed, and its population peaked at an estimated 20,000 inhabitants.
Encroaching troops of the Roman Empire in 106 AD forced the Nabataeans to surrender. The Romans annexed and renamed the Kingdom to Arabia Petraea. Petra's importance declined as sea trade routes emerged, and after a 363 earthquake destroyed many structures. The Byzantine Era witnessed the construction of several Christian churches. By 700, the city became an abandoned place where only a handful of nomads grazed goats. It remained an unknown place until it was rediscovered by Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig Burckhardt in 1812, sparking renewed interest in the city.
The city is famous for its rock-cut architecture and water conduit system. Another name for Petra is the Rose City due to the color of the stone out of which it is carved. It is a symbol of Jordan, as well as Jordan's most-visited tourist attraction. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. UNESCO has described it as "one of the most precious cultural properties of man's cultural heritage".

The idea of driving a significant distance to eat my least-favorite holiday foods with people I enjoy one-on-one but rarely enjoy when they're all together (I'm not a big fan of large social gatherings in general, all filler, no thriller)...that idea is really repellant to me, so nope, I'm hanging out at home.

The European Peacock butterfly (Inachis io), more commonly known simply as the Peacock butterfly, is a well-known colorful butterfly, found in temperate Europe and Asia. It is the only member of the genus Inachis which is sometimes included in Nymphalis. It should not be confused or classified with the "American peacocks" in the genus Anartia; these are not close relatives of the present species. The peacock butterfly is resident in much of its range, often wintering in buildings or trees. It therefore often appears quite early in spring.
The butterfly hibernates over winter before laying its eggs in early spring, in batches of up to 500 at a time. The caterpillars, which are shiny black with six rows of barbed spikes and a series of white dots on each segment, hatch after about a week and feed on nettles and hops.
The adult butterflies drink nectar from a wide variety of flowering plants, including buddleia, willows, dandelions, wild marjoram, danewort, hemp agrimony, and clover; they also utilize tree sap and rotten fruit.
The Peacock can be found in woods, fields, meadows, pastures, parks, and gardens, and from lowlands up to 8,200 feet (2,500 m) elevation. It is a relatively common butterfly seen in many European parks and gardens.

UPS Airlines, a major American cargo airline based in Louisville, Kentucky, is among the world’s largest in terms of traffic volume. The history of its parent company, United Parcel Service (UPS), in the air cargo industry dates back to 1929 when it began transporting parcels as baggage on commercial flights. This service ceased in 1931 due to the Great Depression, but in the 1950s, UPS reentered the air travel market with its Blue Label Air service, offering two-day coast-to-coast delivery. UPS Airlines was formally established in 1988 as a subsidiary of UPS.
Currently, UPS Airlines operates flights to 815 destinations worldwide, utilizing the "hub-and-spoke" system. Its primary hub is Worldport at Muhammad Ali International Airport in Louisville. The airline also maintains several international hubs, including two in North America, two in Europe, three in China, one in Malaysia, and one in the Philippines.
The active fleet of UPS Airlines comprises 291 aircraft, including 43 Boeing 747F aircraft, 13 of which are 747-400F models.

Berlin is a true gem for history lovers, as it is full of corners where many events of its long history as a city and also as the capital of Germany took place.
The so-called "Albert Speer Candelabra" (in German "Speer Kandelaber", also called "OWA Kandelaber", OWA are the German initials for "Ost-West-Achse" because they were part of the East-West Axis project, which in turn was one of the parts of the project "Germania Capital of the World", in German "Welthauptstadt Germania").
These candelabra were part of this East-West Axis from the Brandenburg Gate, for seven kilometers to what is now called Theodor-Heuss-Platz (in honor of the first President of Germany after World War II), which was previously called Adolf-Hitler-Platz and before that also Reichskanzlerplatz.
These candelabra were designed by the Berlin Energy and Light Limited Company (Berliner kraft- und licht-Aktiengesellschaft), because they had to meet a special lighting requirement along the entire Axis, which had to span a bridge over the Canal Landwehr at the Charlottenburg gate, without raising the bridge height too much and yet the channel had to remain navigable.
Albert Speer designed the outside of those candelabra.
Part of these candelabra, more like street lamps, had to be dismantled on the avenue now known as Avenue of June 17 ("Straße des 17. Juni", which was then called "Charlottenburger Chaussee"), since the part of the avenue that it is included between the Brandenburg Gate and the Victory Column, in the last weeks of World War II, during the Battle of Berlin when the city's airports were no longer usable, as they were taken over by the Red Army, it was used for the take off and landing of Luftwaffe aircrafts.
Some 800 candelabra have been preserved since 1936, which have been repaired several times and are among the few remaining living vestiges of that megalomaniac project called "Germania World Capital", and despite the past time they continue to have a modern design reminiscent of works of art arising from the time of the Staatliche Bauhaus.
A few years ago I realized that I had a desire to find and see as much of this beautiful state as I could and researched hikes utilizing the Washington Trails Association (of which I am now a proud member) and I found all of the 'bunny trails', one to (gasp) six miles and I saw some amazing beauty, but two years ago I saw an image of Indian Henry's Hunting Ground and the Ranger Scout Cabin located there and realized that this was a place that I could not go to. They list it at 14 miles (the signs on the trail say 16, I can add) with 3200 feet of elevation gain. After working out this winter and hiking every chance I could I struck out for this mystical magical place on a trail that climbs and descends several ridges, crosses many beautiful streams, passes two pack in campgrounds and with the exception of Rampart Ridge you do it on a part of the 95 mile trail that's calling my name, the Wonderland.
You approach from the right and you just see the side of it tucked neatly in the trees and then you look up at the amazing south west face of Rainier towering behind it, I'd say that it was breathtaking, but I didn't have any anyway..... :-) I ate lunch and sipped a Gatorade on the back step and glowed at the beauty I had found and knowledge that there isn't a place in the park that I can't get to now, might take a few days, but I can get there. (I also tacked on two miles and got Mirror lakes after lunch, I mean, I was in the neighborhood.....) :-)
Boots on the trail at 5:40 a.m., butt in the truck at 4:00 p.m. It was a VERY good day. I saw three people coming down on my way up and spoke to a man who was arriving via the much easier Tahoma Creek route as I was leaving. I've never been so alone in my life. :-)
Origins of the Tibetan Nomads
Tibetans are believed to be descended from a mixture of the ancient peoples that populated the plateau around 15,000 years ago and the Qiang nomads of ancient northern China, that migrated south to the plateau around 11,000 years ago. These migrant Chinese integrated with the earlier residents of the plateau, and the typical nomadic life of the ancient Tibetan people began in earnest.
In later years, the Tibetan king, Songtsen Gampo, built his empire on the backs of the Nomads. The strength of that empire was based on the fact that Gampo could utilize the huge number of Tibetan nomads as a mobile army and expand the frontiers of his lands further. This was also the way that the Mongolian Empire, under the rule of Genghis Khan, expanded to the edges of the Tibetan plateau, and interacted with the Tibetan nomads in around the 13th century.
Wheeling 430 utilizes trackage rights over the CF&E's Lima district for interchange in Lima and is seen here heading back for home rails to the East. This was one of the first ever successful chases I attempted after really getting into railfanning. There were quite a few railfans out this day too, as the move had made a lot of noise in the railfan community since it would be in perfect morning light leaving Lima.

The Spaceship Earth fountain has been utilized in many of my Spaceship Earth shots to add additional interest. There's a lot you can do with to enhance your foreground and it's especially great at night with the smooth long exposure water. I knew I wanted to shoot some sunset pics from in front of Spaceship Earth this trip and undoubtedly a few would feature the fountain. With that in mind I knew I wanted the smooth long exposure water even though I would be shooting straight into the sun.
Now normally this is a shot I would have shot bracketed hand held in the past, but that would not have gotten me the smooth water. Therefore I shot this on a tripod and used a Progrey 7 stop ND filter along with my Nikon 14-24 2.8 so that I could shoot straight into the sun and still slow the shutter down just enough to get the nice smooth water. I did a 5 exposure bracket but ultimately only used 2 shots, a 2 second base exposure and an underexposure for the sky. I masked them together with a luminosity mask, ran the Nik Color Efex Pro Contrast filter on the combined result and did some slight adjustments to vibrance and saturation. I finished it off with my round of sharpening per usual. Ultimately the editing itself was very very simple but I never could have gotten this result without the proper setup and forethought shooting it in the field. This is a great example of how getting something right in camera can save you a ton of time in post. I spent less than 10 minutes to edit this one from start to finish.

Jackson Lake is in Grand Teton National Park in northwestern Wyoming. This natural lake was enlarged by the construction of the Jackson Lake Dam, which was originally built in 1911, enlarged in 1916 and rebuilt by 1989.[4] The top 33 ft (10 m) of the lake is utilized by farmers in Idaho for irrigation purposes. The lake is the remnant of large glacial gouging from the neighboring Teton Range to the west and the Yellowstone Plateau to the north.[5] The lake is primarily fed by the Snake River, which flows in from the north, and empties at Jackson Lake Dam.

NS train ALCN (still utilizing the old CR symbol in September 1999, but will soon be incorporated as 41T, then later 31T) departs Allentown, PA with an eclectic assortment of Canadian EMD's.
i told myself i would utilize the sun in today's 365 but i have an enormous art project due tuesday that i've been working on in the fine arts center for the past 4 hours. good thing i brought my camera and tripod along with me ;)
the fact that it's barely 5:30pm and already pitch black outside makes me sad and quite nervous for this winter
(i'll also probably post a picture of the actual project once i'm finished with it tomorrow)

Buffalo and Pittsburgh empties utilize CSX trackage rights on the morning of May 8th, 2016 with 3 SD40-3's and 120 cars. The train is passing through the quiet little town of Gallatin-Sunnyside at the old PLE MP34 marker before taking the siding at Webster to wait for a westbound N782 out of Newell.
After N782 passes and gives up their track, the U065-07 continues east (geographically south) to Newell before an NS crew will board the train to take it down to Consol Energy's Bailey Mine. After loading the train it will return to Newell and a CSX crew will board to take it to New Castle, PA.
Once at New Castle, a Buffalo and Pittsburgh crew will run around the train and take it back east once again, in order to reach their connector at West Pittsburg (spelled without the H). From West Pittsburgh the train begins its long continuous climb out of the Ohio River Valley onto Butler where it will stop to grab a helper for the climb up to and then away from the Allegheny River Valley at Mossgrove.
After cresting the grade at Dayton, it's downhill into Punxsutawney for a recrew and on the train's final destination of the Homer City Powerplant in Indiana, PA.
