I dig the accessory tube on this bike, there's even a padlock to keep thieves from stealing the pump. I guess it could also hold three cans of beer.

Latest 2022 recolour of the Matchbox 2016 Ford Interceptor Utility wearing its licensed NYPD livery with pride. A much better casting compared to the previous Explorer casting which i'm hoping has finally been retired! Mint and boxed.

The shape immediately surrounding the triangular cover is more or less a Reuleaux triangle. This shape relates to a classic puzzle about manhole covers, asking why they are circular. One answer is that a circular cover can't fall down its own hole (assuming there's a small ledge there). A Reuleaux triangle is a non-circular shape that nevertheless has that quality.

But what's curious here is that the utility cover is just a regular triangle, and the Reuleaux-triangle-shaped part looks like it's not a removable thing. So ... weird.

I have some of the best utility pole shots you'll ever find. What's far more interesting about this photo is the Vickers station in the background with $1.11 gas.

It took me awhile to figure out what was wrong, and what was causing the error message because my account number was right. How about some basic field validation code?! Or at least put the "no hyphens" text NEXT TO the input field.

Note that I didn't make any additions to this screen shot; those callouts are included on the page graphic.

In the early hours of Tuesday, June 15th, 2010 Santa Clara County Fire responded to a fatal house fire on Preservation Way in Morgan Hill. During the first hour there were several explosions, believed to be caused by Propane tanks in and around the house.

County Utility 6 is a Ford Stake side F550 with Electric lift gate. It is being used to fill in for Breathing Support 2 which is out for maintenance. County's El Toro Station less than a block away has air refill capabilities and Utility 6 is shuttling bottles back and forth between the Station and the Fire ground.

With a very smokey fire active for several hours the Breathing Support Unit was missed and even with a small commute, they were struggling to keep up with the demand for fresh air bottles.

The substation crews used these trucks, as most of their work involved moving parts in and out of substations, and lifting the equipment into place, and rarely was the work out of reach of extension ladders.
