UI Prevails. Barack Obama graces the cover of the July 10th issue of Rolling Stone magazine. Its the second time this year Mr. Obama has been featured on the cover, except unlike the March 08 issue, this month's cover lacks a cover line. By doing so, in this reader's opinion, delivering a sense of hope beyond words.

Woo-hoo! My paper copy of "A Web for Everyone" by Sarah Horton and Whitney Quesenbery and published by Rosenfeld Media arrived today and became the obvious candidate for my photo-of-the-day. Now I can read it as a "normal" book. I was a reviewer for the book so the reading experience is slightly different. Now I need to get cracking on writing a public review of it!

I thought this was really clever - in this email LinkedIn, a social networking website gives a compelling reason to provide personal details and provides an obvious mechanism for doing it.
Unfortunately this is let down by what happens after you click the link:
1) You are asked to login even though the system must have known your identity in order to send you the email
2) You are then provided with the option to add a school despite having already chosen this option
3) When you finally get to the school page it turns out that they mean university and since I didn't enter higher education this is useless to me
