I bought this multi-functional clock from Muji which features a fantastic gravity-operated design. You simply rotate the device the "Feature"-way-up to activate that mode. As you can see, it's currently on the Calendar mode. I rotate clockwise to get to the "Alarm" mode.
Very simple operation. A "beep" signals that the mode has changed. The settings are done via two buttons, located behind the device.
It's price? ÂŁ6.80.
With batteries included.
It did, however, spell calendar wrongly.

Buttons replace the standard knob interfaces that are so common on older models of washing machines. Buttons are probably less likely to burn out? Or break off?

Obviously I'm going to take advice on user experience from a website that behaves like this.
Also I would prefer to conmsume this kind of content via RSS. If I were able to syndicate this content the design of this horrible fixed-width layout would be a moot point.
Well, not everyone gets their chumby in a box with such a nice handwriting. In fact, this is the mostest loveliesest handwriting I have ever seen. Doesn’t it look like printed?
The first time my friend Kelly sent me a postcard with her handwriting on it, I thought it was some kind of advertising and almost threw it away.
So... thank you so much, Kelly, for taking care of the whole process!
Normal. Extra normal. The cycle knob + start button combined, with LCD indicator lights around the circle to tell you which one you've selected.
