80 Equilateral-triangular Flat Units (from Kasahara's Origami Omnibus, page 204.)
**12 Pentagons each made up of 5 Equilateral Triangle Flat Units 60 total units
**20 additional triangle units (surrounding and connecting each Pentagon)
I folded /assembled this in preparation for our 2010 Future Professionals Day origami presentation
This is made entirely out of Triangles: Each of the 12 Colored Pentagons and surrounding triangles are made with Equilateral-triangular Flat Unit (from Kunihiko Kasahara's Origami Omnibus, page 204.)
Each unit has 3 pockets & connected using joining tabs.

Quite an easy modular from square.
I like it's strange structure and easiness.
Unfortunately it won't look that beautiful in 30-unit version (because the stars won't be that visible), but indeed it's beautiful by itself ;)

Futurica kusudamas made for paper exibition.
Paper size: 25x43.3 cm
Paper type: some thick glossy paper I'll never use it again!!! It breakes extremely, though it has min. 130-150 g/cm. Absolute non-suitable for folding =(
Connection: Due to paper type and the size I stapled the paper from outside to ensure connectors. For red one I think glue or sticky tape would have worked better, cause it's rather heavy and tends to go down. But this paper allows no glue =(
Stars hold excelent without any insurance.

There is always a bit of yin in yang and a bit of yang in yin 😃
For this model, I cut up printed copy paper into squares/half squares and I didn't have enough of one colour so I decided to mix it up with one of the same pattern but different colour. While there is an aesthetic of having a kusudama with one uniform pattern throughout, I think there is a beauty in having it a bit "infected" .❤️ 紙は一つの色が足りなかったから、少し変わりました。こういうふうにも悪くないと思います。⭐

Peter Keller's 5 cm papers puzzled me a lot, because recently I don't
usually fold from 5 cm paper. Now he did it in a normal 15cm size, but I have only 5cm squares in pretty handmade boxes. Although the paper is really good, thin and folds well, my fingers are too sloppy and moist for 5 cm. So I had to search some models that are of a reasonable size when folded from 5 cm square papers. And also the models that would allow to put 3+ colors there to show the original concept of Peter's palettes.

What the paper is good for:
Sonobes, spiky models, everything with 2+ layers of paper, traditional flap-pocket system(because you usually get at least 4+ layers there). It is thin enough for tiny details and the models requiring a lot of parallel
layers in one place.
What it is inappropriate for: the models with 1 layer of paper. The paper is too thin for structural models like Paradigma without flaps and pockets.
