Here is a model that I'm playing around with now. This was the fifth and final (for now) stage where the black, dark blue, & green still form a cube, but additional units are added to the lighter blue, lighter green, & purple to form a larger cube all the way around the cube.

I had an orange mood. I folded and thought 'why don't I like orangekusudamas?' The answer come when I started to take pictures. They're extremely nasty in photographing. Today was my second attempt... Now I know exactly why I dislike orange paper.
These two kusudamas are very close to this one (the same idea, different proportions)

Each slice is made with 6 of my new tricorne pixels.
Each tricorne is made from one square. No cuts, no glue, joined together by folding on the back.

I guess this photo proves I have fat wrists 😂😅 Or maybe the kusudama itself is small. I used smaller nice Japanese paper. Untidy folds. Can't say I'm happy with the color coordination.

Various 60-degree units. Made using various "grids". Unfortunately my time is limited and I'm not able to make proper 10-unit icosahedra...

I made many steps to find this unit and a few steps to discover, that all these units are made on the base of Tornillo. If you take Tornillo-unit you can easily reverse-engineer them. The eternal question is: where ends the variation and vhere begins the new model.

This was my 1st COMPLETED model using Tetrahedral Symmetry
(My Great -Rhombicosidodecahedron is still a work in progress.)
210- units : total of 20 tetrahedra ( Yellow points) seperated by Triangle Prisms.
3 x 3 paper folded using the white capped sonobe variant. It gives a nice contrasted look.
One major difference in this model is that Instead of inverting the peaks like Ardonik has done , I decided to assemble it with the peaks out, I like the look. Although it looks like a Spikey Polygon I like the way it turned out.
Since I used the smaller 3x3 paper the model is very stable. However, assembling this was difficult, there was not a lot of space to work the tight edges when connecting the tetrahedron. I am currently working on a larger scale version of this using the bigger paper size, the assembly is already easier, however there are trade-offs, the bigger the model in size the less structurally stable it is. Thats why I prefer the smaller paper when assembling a larger scale structure. This model took me about 2 weeks.
This is a good model to work on, the number of units and the ease of assembly make it a good starter for anyone who wants to build a polyhedra using Terahedral symmetry.
Once completed you can move on to a Great-rhombicosidodecahedron. the major difference is to replace the Tetrahedra with Triangle Cuppolae Triangular Cupola

Because of the spring this time I decided to bring not my favorite grey and neutral colored modulars, but the green and other color ones. Though normally I prefer softer, less intensive colors, these kusudamas matched my spring mood. So I call this selection 'spring collection'.
