As the leading voice for collaborative public art projects around the world, the International Fiber Collaborative is dedicated to promoting understanding and appreciation of contemporary art & craft through educational experiences. We are committed to developing vital education programs that elevate, expand, modernize and enhance the image of collaboration and education today.
★WHAT IS THE DREAM ROCKET PROJECT?
The Dream Rocket Team is collecting nearly 8,000 artworks from participants around the globe. The artwork will be assembled together to create a massive cover in which will wrap a 37 story Saturn V Moon Rocket at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. We will also be displaying submitted artwork in dozens of national venues prior to the wrapping of the Saturn V. Additionally, we are posting images of submitted artwork & their stories on our Website, Flickr, and Facebook.The Dream Rocket project uses the Saturn V Moon Rocket as a symbolism of universal values of the human spirit. Optimism, hope,
caring for our natural resources, scientific exploration, and harnessing technological advancements for a better quality of life while safeguarding our communities, are all common desires across national and international boundaries. Participants are able to express and learn about these values through this creative collaboration. With the completion of each artwork, participants are asked to write an essay explaining their artwork, and the dream theme in which they chose.
★How can I Participate & Have my Artwork Displayed?
The Dream Rocket project would like to challenge you to ‘Dare to Dream’. To dream about your future and the future of our world through dream themes such as health, community, conservation, science, technology, space, peace, and so on. We would like you to use your selected Dream Theme to express, explore, and create your vision on your section of the wrap. We hope that you are able to express and learn through this creative collaboration. With the completion of each artwork, you are asked to write a brief essay explaining your artwork, and the dream theme in which you chose.

This is a highly detailed, original watercolor painting of the 1938 New York Yankees uniform. It was created as part of a collection of 20 pieces of original art celebrating the history of the uniforms of the MLB New York Yankees (formerly the New York Highlanders and originally the Baltimore Orioles). This original painting, and more than 1500 other MLB, NFL, NHL, NCAA football and CFL uniform paintings, is available for sale at our Heritage Sports Art website.

USAID’s Water and Conflict Toolkit for Programming, a document designed to help development practitioners gain a deeper understanding of the forces driving violence and instability related to water, was launched on February 24 at the Wilson Center. Written by USAID’s Office of Conflict Management and Mitigation, the Wilson Center, and Group W Inc., the toolkit provides guidance to development professionals not familiar with water and conflict dynamics, with the aim of developing more strategic and focused interventions.
To discuss how the toolkit resonates with their experiences were a bevy of water experts: Gidon Bromberg, 2008 TIME Magazine Environmental Hero and two-time recipient of the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship; Geoffrey Dabelko, Director of the Voinovich School's Environmental Studies Program at Ohio University and Senior Advisor to ECSP; Chris Kosnik, director of USAID’s Office of Water and a long-time development practitioner; Sandra Ruckstuhl, co-author of the toolkit and development and conflict expert; and Aaron Wolf, a renowned expert on transboundary water resources and political conflict and cooperation.

The German and Dutch Ministries of Foreign Affairs, 1 (German/Netherlands) Corps and the German Bundespolizei are just a few of the participants that are pioneers in long-term coordinating of their activities and mutual understanding by using a fictional scenario.

NHS Values Summits bring together a diverse range of people and perspectives to foster greater understanding of how peoples' differences, social status and cultural expectations can affect their experiences of health and care.
Held on a quarterly basis across the country, each summit promotes values-based ways of working and explores a different theme relating to equality, health inequalities and human rights.
The theme of this NHS Values Summit, held on 18th September 2013, was entitled 'Making it happen in Greater Manchester: Integrated care across organisations'. Patient-centred care that is well co-ordinated across care settings and over time is better for all but can particularly benefit patients with long-term, chronic or complex conditions and those who may find it difficult to 'navigate' the health care system.
The Greater Manchester summit was held during National Recovery Month. This provided an opportunity for people to share their recovery stories with others and celebrate their successes, promoting the benefits of prevention, treatment and recovery for those experiencing mental health or substance misuse issues.
As a celebration of shared learning and partnership working, NHS England is pleased to welcome patients and the public, representatives from health and social care, and stakeholders from the private and voluntary/community sectors to these important events.

Oct 25, 2014 PLSC167 "Understanding Delaware Agriculture" students from Georgetown and Newark tour Hoober, Inc. in Middletown, Del. Students received an orientation about Precision Agriculture and the technological innovations of modern agriculture. Students also drove an $185,000 tractor.

Originaires de la ville de Como dans le Mississippi, ces trois chanteuses nous livrent un gospel très roots, sans fioritures et sans choeurs emphatiques. Seulement leurs voix, leurs tripes, et une orchestration dépouillée. Leur dernier album "Move Upstairs" sort dans les bacs le 19 mai, et deux dates sont déjà prévues à Lyon et Avignon cet été, avant une tournée française à l'automne.
C'est seulement leur troisième album, mais les Como Mamas sont en passe d'acquérir le statut de véritables reines du gospel outre-atlantique. Jusqu'à il y a encore moins de 2 ans, Ester Mae Wilbourn, Della Daniels et Anglia Taylor n'avaient pas quitté leur ville de Como au Mississippi, où elles ont enregistré leur deux premiers disques "Get an understanding" et "Como now". En décembre 2015, elles quitent le deep south delta, direction Harlem pour participer à la traditionnelle Daptone Super Soul Revue au mythique Apollo Theater. Le label Daptone profite alors de leur présence pour les enregister, accompagnées des musiciens maison The glorifiers band.
Il en sort cet album épuré, différent du gospel dont on a l'habitude avec ses chorales enfièvrées.
Ici, retour à l'autentique, au brut de décoffrage, sans chichi. Retour aux sources du gospel : le negro spiritual, cette complainte entonnée par les esclaves dans les champs de cotons. En témoigne ce "Come out the wilderness", chant traditionnel acapella :

This project is part of the Understanding AI exhibition at Ars Electronica Center. Alias is a teachable “parasite” that is designed to give users more control over their smart assistants, both when it comes to customization and privacy. Through a simple app, the user can train *Alias* to react on a custom wake word/sound and, once trained, Alias can take control over your home assistant by activating it for you. When you don’t use it, Alias will make sure the assistant is paralyzed and unable to listen by interrupting its microphones.

The ACU Respect residential school took place from 18-21 December 2017 at Heriot-Watt University
Malaysia.
Building on the ACU's Respect campaign, the residential school brought together 30 student leaders
from over 20 Commonwealth countries, to help them develop tools to promote and support respect and
understanding in their institutions and beyond.
