When you are in something so deep, you don't always see the big picture. Your reality is what you have convinced yourself it to be. There is no reason, objectivity or sincere unbiased thoughts on the matter. You get so comfortable in the illusion that you have created, that truth escapes you. It takes almost an out of body experience to give you the untainted sight required to truly see clearly. Pain will push you to that scenic view. Relentless pain that shocks your soul. That is what lifts you above and beyond petty details and insignificant words. That moment when you see a situation for it's entirety and no language can adequately explain your epiphany. Your mind knows that it can not be translated; your heart feels the nourishment; your soul is content. Now you can move on.

My understanding is that is now known as Broadstone Plaza or the Broadstone Gate and the original plan is described below:
"The Broadstone Gate will provide a key access to the Grangegorman site once complete and is being developed as part of the Luas Cross City works. It will be finished as a public plaza and the access will provide a major linkage between Grangegorman and Dublin city."
"The plaza is situated off Constitution Hill on the site of the old royal canal at the former Great Weatern Railway Station commonly known as Broadstone, and will mark a prominent entrance to the Grangegorman urban quarter."
"Under the Grangegorman Masterplan, the primary urban path through Grangegorman – St Brendan’s Way will link with the Broadstone Gate which when completed will reach as far as Prussia Street. The link with Broadstone can also be seen as an extension to the 18th century historic spine of Dublin City which covered Dublin Castle across Grattan Bridge, along Capel Street/Bolton Street, Henrietta Street and King’s Inn."
The new pedestrian/cyclist link between Grangegorman and Constitution Hill was officially opened in November. This link in its current format is temporary until site development in that area is completed. The initial opening hours for the link are Monday – Friday, from 7am – 4pm and on Saturdays, from 7.30am – 2pm. I have been advised by the Grangegorman Development Agency that it intends to expand these opening hours soon.
As you can see from my photographs the Plaza Area is currently a building site but I am hoping that it will be complete within a few months.

Abstract:
Asphalt concrete is highly used for building highway or runway pavements, whose performances are not only governed by its components’ properties, but also impacted by loading and environmental conditions. Both traditional experimental and analytical methods have limited capability for studying fundamentals of asphalt concrete. With the rapid development of computational facilities, numerical methods become important and powerful tools for engineers and researchers. Discrete element method (DEM) is a numerical method which has been utilized for modeling asphalt concrete materials since 1993. The purpose of this poster is to present the authors’ research progress in DEM modeling for understanding fundamentals of asphalt concrete materials. In term of environmental or sustainability benefits, this research will ultimately result in longer-lasting roads by improving pavement and mixture design methods. Additionally, the research findings can be used for studying other anisotropic composite materials which have the similar microstructural features.

Ambassador of Ireland to the United States Anne Anderson and Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs Evan Ryan signed a Diplomatic note on Monday, December 5th, lengthening the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the twelve month Irish Work and Travel (IWT) Program between the Government of the United States and the Government of Ireland.

★WHAT IS THE DREAM ROCKET PROJECT?
The Dream Rocket Team is collecting nearly 8,000 artworks from participants around the globe. The artwork will be assembled together to create a massive cover in which will wrap a 37 story Saturn V Moon Rocket at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. We will also be displaying submitted artwork in dozens of national venues prior to the wrapping of the Saturn V. Additionally, we are posting images of submitted artwork & their stories on our Website, Flickr, and Facebook.The Dream Rocket project uses the Saturn V Moon Rocket as a symbolism of universal values of the human spirit. Optimism, hope,
caring for our natural resources, scientific exploration, and harnessing technological advancements for a better quality of life while safeguarding our communities, are all common desires across national and international boundaries. Participants are able to express and learn about these values through this creative collaboration. MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE FEDERATIVE REPUBLIC OF BRAZIL AND THE GOVERNMENT OF GEORGIA ON ECONOMIC COOPERATION
The Government of the Federative Republic of Brazil
and
The Government of Georgia (hereinafter referred to as the “Parties”),
Aiming to strengthen and develop economic relations between their countries,
Have agreed as follows:
Article 1
1. The Parties will promote the development of mutually beneficial bilateral economic cooperation in accordance with the legislation of their respective States
2. Cooperation implemented under the present Memorandum of Understanding aims:
a) to use the economic potential of the Parties for strengthening bilateral economic relations; and
b) to intensify bilateral economic relations, inter alia in trade, investment and innovation spheres.
Article 2
1. Cooperation specified in Article 1 of this Memorandum of Understanding will be implemented as follows:
a) cooperation between economic organizations of the Parties;
b) promotion of different forms of experience sharing in economic and trade spheres, including exchange of experts and technical staff and organization of trainings; and
c) facilitation of participation in exhibitions and fairs, business missions and other promotion events organized on the State territories of the Parties.
2. Cooperation between the Parties will not be limited to the forms specified in this Article and may also be implemented in other ways.
Article 3
1. Relevant bodies of the Parties will promote the establishment and the activities of representative offices, branches and subsidiaries of companies from the territory of the State of one Party in the territory of the State of the other Party.
2. Procedures for the establishment and implementation of activities of representative offices, branches and subsidiaries will be determined by the legislation of the Party, on whose territory these organizations carry out their activities.
Article 4
Relevant bodies of the Parties will, in accordance with the legislation of the Parties, exchange information related to:
1. legislation regarding conditions for economic activity, investments, technical requirements and conformity assessment procedures, issuance of licenses, permits, protection of industrial and intellectual property rights and other areas of common interest; and
2. activities aimed at strengthening relations between companies and business associations of the Parties, including organization of international exhibitions, fairs and business missions.
Article 5
1. This Memorandum of Understanding will not lead either Party to take any actions that is contrary to, or inconsistent with, its international obligations or its domestic legislation.
2. This Memorandum of Understanding does not involve any transfer of funds from one of the Parties to the other or any other activity that may represent a burden to their national treasuries, beyond regular diplomatic and trade promotion activities.
3. This Memorandum of Understanding will come into effect on the date of its signature and will remain valid indefinitely.
4. This Memorandum of Understanding may be amended by mutual consent of the Parties through diplomatic channels.
5. Either Party may, at any time, notify the other through diplomatic channels of its decision to discontinue this Memorandum of Understanding. The Memorandum of Understanding will be terminated ninety (90) days after the date of receipt of the notification.
Done in Brasilia , on 16 April 2012, in duplicate, in Portuguese, Georgian and English languages, all texts being equally authentic. In case of divergence of interpretation the English text shall prevail.

O Governo da República Federativa do Brasil
e
O Governo da Geórgia (doravante identificados como “as Partes”),
Com o objetivo de fortalecer e desenvolver as relações econômicas entre seus países,
Chegaram ao seguinte entendimento:
Artigo 1º
1. As Partes promoverão o desenvolvimento de cooperação econômica bilateral mutuamente vantajosa, de acordo com a legislação de cada Estado.
2. A cooperação a ser implementada nos termos do presente Memorando de Entendimento terá por objetivo:
a) utilizar o potencial econômico das Partes para fortalecer as relações econômicas bilaterais; e
b) intensificar as relações econômicas bilaterais nas esferas do comércio, investimentos e inovação, inter alia.
Artigo 2º
1. A cooperação referida no Artigo 1º deste Memorando de Entendimento será implementada das seguintes maneiras:
a) cooperação entre organizações econômicas das Partes;
b) promoção de diferentes formas de compartilhamento de experiências nas esferas econômica e comercial, incluindo o intercâmbio de especialistas e pessoal técnico e a organização de treinamentos; e
c) facilitação da participação em exibições e feiras, missões de negócios e outros eventos promocionais organizados nos territórios dos dois Estados Parte.
2. A cooperação entre as Partes não se limitará às formas especificadas neste Artigo, podendo implementar-se de outras maneiras.
Artigo 3º
1. Os organismos competentes das Partes promoverão o estabelecimento e as atividades de escritórios de representação, filiais e subsidiárias de companhias estabelecidas no território de um Estado Parte no território do outro Estado Parte.
2. Os procedimentos para o estabelecimento e desenvolvimento de atividades dos escritórios de representação, filiais e subsidiárias serão determinados pela legislação da Parte em cujo território tais organizações desenvolvam suas atividades.
Artigo 4º
Os organismos competentes de cada Parte, nos termos de sua legislação nacional, trocarão informações relacionadas a:
1. legislação referente a condições para o desempenho de atividade econômica, investimentos, requisitos técnicos e procedimentos de apuração de conformidade, emissão de licenças e autorizações, proteção aos direitos de propriedade industrial e intelectual e outras áreas de interesse comum; e
2. atividades voltadas ao fortalecimento de relações entre empresas e associações empresariais das Partes, incluindo a organização de exibições, feiras e missões de negócios internacionais.
Artigo 5º
1. Este Memorando de Entendimento não obrigará qualquer das Partes a tomar medidas contrárias ou inconsistentes com suas obrigações internacionais ou sua legislação interna.
2. Este Memorando de Entendimento não ocasionará qualquer transferência de fundos de uma das Partes à outra, nem qualquer atividade que possa representar encargo a seu Tesouro nacional, para além da regular atividade diplomática ou de promoção comercial.
3. Este Memorando de Entendimento entrará em vigor na data de sua assinatura e terá validade por prazo indeterminado.
4. Este Memorando de Entendimento poderá ser emendado por consentimento mútuo das Partes, por via diplomática.
5. Qualquer das Partes poderá, a qualquer momento, notificar a outra Parte, por meio de canais diplomáticos, de sua decisão de dar por encerrado este Memorando de Entendimento. O Memorando de Entendimento perderá vigência noventa (90) dias após a data em que tal notificação for recebida.

In the Fortaleza in Cascais there was an art exhibition throughout the complex. Most of the exhibits were sculptures but this painting on the wall was the exception. I congratulate the artist as after 50 years of marriage I cannot claim to understand even one woman:-)
NHS Values Summits bring together a diverse range of people and perspectives to foster greater understanding of how peoples' differences, social status and cultural expectations can affect their experiences of health and care.
Held on a quarterly basis across the country, each summit promotes values-based ways of working and explores a different theme relating to equality, health inequalities and human rights.
The theme of this NHS Values Summit, held on 18th September 2013, was entitled 'Making it happen in Greater Manchester: Integrated care across organisations'. Patient-centred care that is well co-ordinated across care settings and over time is better for all but can particularly benefit patients with long-term, chronic or complex conditions and those who may find it difficult to 'navigate' the health care system.
The Greater Manchester summit was held during National Recovery Month. This provided an opportunity for people to share their recovery stories with others and celebrate their successes, promoting the benefits of prevention, treatment and recovery for those experiencing mental health or substance misuse issues.
As a celebration of shared learning and partnership working, NHS England is pleased to welcome patients and the public, representatives from health and social care, and stakeholders from the private and voluntary/community sectors to these important events.
