Mulino a vento

I mulini a vento in Olanda

Singapore......... Night City

Singapore's Chinatown is the traditional Chinese quarters of town, and while the entire city is largely Chinese these days the area does retain some of its own charm. The area is also known as Niu Che Shui (牛车水) in Chinese and Kreta Ayer in Malay, both names meaning "bullock cart water", a reference to the carts that used to haul in drinking water.

The area between Pagoda Street and Smith Street has been tarted up considerably for tourists, but workaday Chinatown continues south and east, merging seamlessly into the Central Business District. text from Wikitravel........

Some information about singapore

Singapore, officially the Republic of Singapore, is a Southeast Asian city-state off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula, 137 kilometres (85 mi) north of the equator. An island country made up of 63 islands, it is separated from Malaysia by the Straits of Johor to its north and from Indonesia's Riau Islands by the Singapore Strait to its south. Singapore is highly urbanised but almost half of the country is covered by greenery. More land is being created for development through land reclamation.

Singapore had been a part of various local empires since it was first inhabited in the second century AD. Modern Singapore was founded as a trading post of the East India Company by Sir Stamford Raffles in 1819 with permission from the Sultanate of Johor. The British obtained full sovereignty over the island in 1824 and Singapore became one of the British Straits Settlements in 1826. Singapore was occupied by the Japanese in World War II and reverted to British rule after the war. It became internally self-governing in 1959. Singapore united with other former British territories to form Malaysia in 1963 and became a fully independent state two years later after separation from Malaysia. Since then it has had a massive increase in wealth, and is one of the Four Asian Tigers. The economy depends heavily on the industry and service sectors. Singapore is a world leader in several areas: It is the world's fourth-leading financial centre, the world's second-biggest casino gambling market, and the world's third-largest oil refining centre. The port of Singapore is one of the five busiest ports in the world, most notable for being the busiest transshipment port in the world. The country is home to more US dollar millionaire households per capita than any other country. The World Bank notes Singapore as the easiest place in the world to do business. The country has the world's third highest GDP PPP per capita of US$59,936, making Singapore one of the world's wealthiest countries.

º Adobe Câmera Raw ( ACR ) = A imagem processada no photomatix é aberta ACR .

º Com a imagem aberta no photoshop, a primeira coisa a fazer é identificar os pontos fortes da imagem e selecioná-las utilizando as ferramentas de seleção, para que possamos salvá-las e posteriormente utilizá-las para a criação de grupos de camadas. ( exemplos em outra ocasião );

º Utilizar a ferramenta Shadows & Highlights = ( a dica aqui é cria uma cópia da camada original e transformá-la em objeto inteligente. Dessa forma você pode voltar a ferramenta e alterar os valores de acordo com o andamento da edição ( exemplos em outra ocasião );

º Utilizar moderadamente a ferramenta de curvas;

ºAdicionei 1 camada de matiz e saturação para acertar a cor azul do céu e as sombrinhas enterradas na areia ( este acerto tem que ser feito diminuindo ou aumentado a saturação da cor azul, isso dependendo de sua intenção );

º Aumentei a nitidez da imagem utilizando o filtro de nitidez de alta freqüência, porém, utilizei uma mascara de camada para diminuir o efeito de nitidez na água do mar;

º Depois de terminada as alterações desejadas, achatei a imagem e adicionei a moldura e assinatura;

immagini relative a PALMIRA

www.google.it/images?q=palmira+siria&oe=utf-8&rls...

**************************************

it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palmira

www.google.it/images?q=nuvole&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mo...

Nuvola

it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuvola

Singapore National Parade 2011 - Happy Birthday Singapore

It is my pleasure to be invited and also lucky to be selected by URA/Marina Bay Singapore/Marina Bay Sands to the Skypark to take shots of the Singapore National Day Parade on 9 August 2011. Wonderful experience with six other photographer up there and of course the crew from Marina Bay Sands.....

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Belle Tan and Joseph for the arrangement.

The Singapore National Day Parade (Abbreviation: NDP, simplified Chinese: 国庆庆典; traditional Chinese: 國慶慶典; pinyin: guóqìng qìngdiǎn, Malay: Perbarisan Hari Kebangsaan, Tamil: தேசிய தின அணிவகுப்பு) is a national ceremony in Singapore that, as its name implies, includes a parade on Singapore's National Day on August 9, in commemoration of Singapore's independence that is usually held at the Padang (1966 - 1974), the National Stadium, various decentalized venues all over Singapore or The Float@Marina Bay.

Singapore's Chinatown is an ethnic neighbourhood featuring distinctly Chinese cultural elements and a historically concentrated ethnic Chinese population. Chinatown is located within the larger district of Outram.

As the largest ethnic group in Singapore is Chinese, Chinatown is considerably less of an enclave than it once was. (Note: The name Chinatown (唐人街) is usually used by non-Chinese Singaporeans whereas Chinese Singaporeans usually use the term Niu Che Shui (牛车水) as the term Chinatown (唐人街) usually refers to enclaves of Chinese people in regions where Chinese people are the minority ethnic group.) However, the district does retain significant historical and cultural significance. Large sections of it have been declared national heritage sites officially designated for conservation by the Urban Redevelopment Authority.

Today I decided to take my 'real' cam for a spin in the mean streets of the best city in the world, knowing that there are puddles and sunshine outside, and this was the first puddle I stopped at, drooling from the idea of finally getting some hi-res quality reflection shots...but when I turned on the cam it said 'Internal memory full'....stoopid me, I forgot the memory card at home, inside my PC :D

Since I've been planning on buying a new SDHC card anyway, I figured I'll just take this opportunity to go and get one, but then it turned out I was way too lazy to go to the shop and come back, so I whipped out Mobie and shot this wicked reflection old school style, and as you can see, Mobie still rules :))

While I was not able to see it on the ground it appears on a map that the river is diverted upstream from a manmade lake into a canal system. The flume which subsequently passes high above the river downstream carries the water eastward.

A London Eye hoje

who is an wicked and evil witch. I wanted to base it off Bellatrix as she is awkward but at the same time, very erotic and gives a strange sex appeal and I wanted to take a risk. So like Bellatrix, I wanted Alexandrianna to of course resemble Bellatrix but also give that awkward sex appeal. I also included Bellatrix's wand.

The Lower Peirce Reservoir (Chinese: 贝雅士蓄水池下段) is one of the oldest reservoirs in Singapore. It is located near the MacRitchie Reservoir and the Upper Peirce Reservoir. It was originally created as the Peirce Reservoir but was designated as lower upon the creation of the Upper Peirce Reservoir. It is 6 hectares in size and contains many trees that are over 100 years old. There is a Lower Peirce Trail, which is a 900-metre boardwalk that takes visitors through a mature secondary forest. The reservoir is the source of the Kallang River, the longest river in Singapore.

UTF 732M is a Leyland Leopard PSU3B/4R with Duple Dominant coachwork. It was new in 1974 as Ribble 1052, painted in National Bus Company all white coach livery and has been restored to this condition.

To follow on from my previous photographs detailing the ECW Leyland Olympian coaches built for the National Bus Company. I mentioned that at the 1984 Motor Show Leyland Bus showed a restyled ECW (EX26) Olympian coach. A small number were built on three-axle Olympian chassis for the overseas markets. In 1985, the NBC placed their final order for buses and coaches to be delivered no later than 1987. The order included a number of the original design ECW Leyland Olympian coaches, plus six of the restyled ECW coach bodies, all 13ft 8in height, three were built on the long-wheelbase Olympian chassis for Eastern National, and the remaining three built on 9.6-metre Olympian chassis (ONLXB/1RH), which had been ordered by Southern Vectis and built for them and wore a metallic grey livery, but delivered to Alder Valley North for use on Londonlink comunter services, In 1987 Alder Valley North who were formed when Alder Valley was split up prior to the privatisation of the NBC were sold in 1987 and became The Berks Bucks Bus Co Ltd which used the fleet name The Bee Line.

I must mention that in September of 1986, Reading Transport received five 9.6-metre ECW Olympian coaches, the bodies were the standard 14ft 2in high bus bodies, but trimmed out as coaches. They featured fixed tinted glazing, soft trim, coach seating, overhead luggage racks sporting individual reading lights and ventilation. The lower dash beneath the front windscreen was shared with the original design ECW Olympian coaches built for the NBC. Reading also had 12 Leyland Titans, which some were fitted with coach seating.

My view shows The Bee Line ECW Leyland Olympian coach D824 UTF wearing an attractive yellow livery and lettered for the X14 and X15 services, the short length does not do the body style justice. These three Olympians would later pass to City of Oxford for their Wycombe operation.

***************************

Leucanthemum vulgare

***************************

Usi

I fiori e le foglie vengono utilizzati in infusione come medicamento contro l'ipertensione.
