Universal Serial Bus (USB) is a serial bus standard to interface devices. USB was designed to allow peripherals to be connected using a single standardized interface socket and to improve plug-and-play capabilities by allowing devices to be connected and disconnected without rebooting the computer (hot swapping). Other convenient features include providing power to low-consumption devices without the need for an external power supply and allowing many devices to be used without requiring manufacturer specific, individual device drivers to be installed.
160 GB ATA laptop drive converted to an external USB drive. Powered over USB. Attached to laptop cover by Velcro.
I connected 1 USB hub to the computer which ran to the cable compartment. Then connected another to the hub down there, so it is hidden but easy access if need be. They seem to fit perfect laying down and are snug on there with a few cables running on the side. I suggest taping them down and make sure you can slide any other stuff you need in without taking them out.

Start by getting the Micke desk at IKEA and setting it up. Check the other stuff off and lets get started. Finish the table but don't put the drawers in yet; you'll be getting dirty to set up the wiring down there.
Get all the USB/Power Wires/Etc. you will need to connect. Take the USB extension cord/hub and use 1 USB port on the PC/Laptop. Send the other end down under the table where all the rest will connect. You can also just do this with a PC on the floor and send the USB cord up from the back of the machine. Connect the required USB cables to the USB hub which should now be placed under the table in the "wire-compartment." Use the zip-ties for any extra wiring.
Route the USB wires up from one of the sides. Tape em' down in there and behind the desk so it doesn't get messy! Use a Keep-A-Cable to hold the wires up behind the desk so you don't need to reach for them every time. Finally just connect the power wire for the machine and monitor to the extension cord which you plugged into the wall outlet. Place it underneath the table in the wire compartment.
Bonus tip: Use some of the cardboard from the box to make compartments inside the drawers for different daily use of school materials, etc.!
Several USB cables are comprised on the desk of my office. All of them are intended to connect my important apparatus to a PC, and, as for most important one, a cell-phone, the other are NEX. However, NEX by the USB cannot charge it. I depend on Sony formally now. Please enable it!
