I believe that there is a subtle magnetism in Nature, which, if we unconsciously yield to it, will direct us aright. ~ Henry David Thoreau

Like a spider's web, we are unconsciously trapped in the network that moment by moment connects billions of people on this planet.

The secret is to not fall into the trap and consider this network an encyclopedia of knowledge because knowledge is the vitamin of the mind and knowledge.

The unconscious obsession that we photographers have is that wherever we go we want to find the theme that we carry inside ourselves. - Graciela Iturbide

The soul, fortunately, has an interpreter - often an unconscious but still a faithful interpreter - in the eye.

Mr Thursday in my boys week is Dray 🔥 He lives somewhere inbetween our world and unconsciousness, his numbing of life has an appeal I can’t really explain.

Picasso Response (NSWAG, 2019)

I love the stance, the gaze, and the unconscious reflection of the Picasso... Coming round the corner this painting seized my attention too; a closer look & I ask myself: why? I don't know... but it is as it is, and somehow this person expresses that..

I'm not lost, just wandering. Where I end up is not as important as what I see along the way.

Sometimes all we need is a cup of tea and a quiet afternoon to unwind our unconscious...

I'm greatful to the couple who unconsciously were adding a human touch to this picture (....they probably also were unaware of the fact that they just crossed a line). View large on black.

The interpretation of dreams is the royal road to a knowledge of the unconscious activities of the mind. Sigmund Freud

Perfect simplicity is unconsciously audacious. ~George Meredith

(Cut to the ballroom where the dual queues to Lilitus and Trajan are slowly moving forward. Laithi approaches Lucas, who is holding unconscious Dyanna in his arms, off to the side of the queue for Lilitus.)

Laithi: Why aren't you in line?

Lucas: I like this one. I want to keep it for a while.

Laithi: How do you expect to keep it after you board?

Lucas: I don't think I want to board. I like this body, too. It's much better than my last receptacle.

(Cut to stage right, Sienna is standing between the lengths of a parted curtain.)

Sienna: Excuse me? (to the two guards watching the ballroom from the wings, they turn and see her) Is there a ladies room around here?

(The guards say nothing, striding threateningly toward her, but as they reach for her, two hands pop out of the curtained darkness, one over each of her shoulders, and the small weapon in each hand discharges, the guards falling to the floor, golden light pouring from their eyes. Mateo and Ronan poke their heads out of the curtains and nod at each other.)

(Cut to ballroom floor when Laithi argues with Lucas.)

Laithi: You're being foolish. (to Lucas) Give her to me.

Lucas: Look, I'm loyal, but I deserve something for my fealty.

Laithi: You're greedy. You will give Lilitus whatever she commands! (drags Dyanna from Lucas' arms, and toward the stage.)

The suppressing of our unconscious leads to more complicated lives. The less attention we pay to it, the more it grows. “The more civilized, the more unconscious and complicated a man is, the less he is able to follow his instincts. His complicated living conditions and the influence of his environment are so strong that they drown the quiet voice of nature.” (Aion, p.21)

The suppressed unconscious forces and eventually surface. “The will can control them only in part. It may be able to suppress them, but it cannot alter their nature, and what is suppressed comes up again in another place in altered form, but this time loaded with a resentment that makes the otherwise harmless natural impulse our enemy.” (Aion, p.27)

-Carl Jung

"The greatest impediments to changes in our traditional roles seem to lie not in the visible world of conscious intent, but in the murky realm of the unconscious mind." Augustus.

Monte Solaro, at 589 meters above sea level, is the highest point on Capri and offers some of the best views over the island. To get to its top, you can use the famous and comfortable chairlift that leaves from the town of Anacapri, or go up from there by a steep path that lasts about an hour. Both possibilities are wonderful ways to enjoy the surrounding landscape.

During our trip to Capri, I opted for both options. On our first day we used the chairlift after lunch in Anacapri, that's when I took this picture. The idea was to use it as an example for the next sunrise, when I would walk up the mountain at night, to immortalise the sunrise over the spectacular landscape. However, this second time, the clouds covered everything and I could barely see the statue of Augustus located a few meters away from me. Although I waited patiently for more than an hour, in the end I could not get any image with this view. Nevertheless, after observing this photograph at home, it seemed worthy of being part of my portfolio. It is not the image at dawn that I longed for, but in the same way it transports me to that beautiful moment, in which we had the sight of this heaven of Roman emperors under our feet.

Carl Jung rejected many of Freud's theories. Jung expanded on Freud's idea that dream content relates to the dreamer's unconscious desires. He described dreams as messages to the dreamer and argued that dreamers should pay attention for their own good. He came to believe that dreams present the dreamer with revelations that can uncover and help to resolve emotional or religious problems and fears.

Jung wrote that recurring dreams show up repeatedly to demand attention, suggesting that the dreamer is neglecting an issue related to the dream. He believed that many of the symbols or images from these dreams return with each dream. Jung believed that memories formed throughout the day also play a role in dreaming. These memories leave impressions for the unconscious to deal with when the ego is at rest. The unconscious mind re-enacts these glimpses of the past in the form of a dream. Jung called this a day residue. Jung also argued that dreaming is not a purely individual concern, that all dreams are part of "one great web of psychological factors."

Fritz Perls presented his theory of dreams as part of the holistic nature of Gestalt therapy. Dreams are seen as projections of parts of the self that have been ignored, rejected, or suppressed.Jung argued that one could consider every person in the dream to represent an aspect of the dreamer, which he called the subjective approach to dreams. Perls expanded this point of view to say that even inanimate objects in the dream may represent aspects of the dreamer. The dreamer may, therefore, be asked to imagine being an object in the dream and to describe it, in order to bring into awareness the characteristics of the object that correspond with the dreamer's personality.

THE DEVIL is in us all. .. and is most often deep in our unconscious.

We humans can be bitter, judgmental, overly critical, way too presumptuous of others, and many a time it defeats our relationships and sends those who love us far away.

A simple yet frequent psychological defense mechanism comes into play here.

PROJECTION~!!!!!!!

We project our awful qualities onto others so we don't have to

own our crap so we bestow it upon others......

Many of us like to see other people fail, fall and flounder.

Misery loves company.

Many of us are competitive ,jealous, passive, aggressive, controlling buffoons and without knowing it or owning it ( so to speak )..... it gets us into a lot of trouble in our lives.

Many of us cannot extirpate the Devil in us or even admit that we have devilish qualities for we intellectualize/rationalize that demonic part of us into something benign or even helpful.

for example:

" i helped him with my advice, he never could get past high school, so i sent him to work in a factory" .

Many of us only feel real when we are devilish, hateful, judgmental, critical, and putting others down to feel bad.

Many of us are truly clones of our parents ( either one )

and carry traits of theirs that truly STINK!

we all praise our heritage and our perfect PARENTS

so we cannot differentiate the good stuff from the bad stuff.

If we don't act rude, harsh, JUDGEMENTAL like MOTHER acts and who has unconsciously taught me to do likewise

it translates into not loving her...

in other words. we have this allegiance to LUNACY!!

Yet humans can be both devilish and angelic

hateful and lovable.

yes

Humans are malleable.

Yet it is so much easier for human beings to hate than to love.

Why this is so?

Only the Devil knows.

Schubert/Liszt - Die Taubenpost (The Pigeon Post)

Happy Listening my friends :)

**Pigeon messages

I have a carrier-pigeon in my pay

Who is devoted and true.

She never stops short of her goal,

And never flies too far.

I send her a thousand times

Out every day to gather information

Past many a beloved spot

To my beloved’s house.

There she peeps in at the window,

Spying out every look and step,

Gives my greetings playfully

And brings hers to me.

I needn’t write a note any longer,

My very tears I give her:

She will not misdeliver them,

So earnestly does she serve me.

By day, by night, in waking, in dreaming,

They are all the same to her,

So long as she can wander,

She is more than satisfied!

She never becomes tired, she never grows exhausted,

The route always feels new;

She needs no enticement, needs no reward,

This pigeon is so true to me.

And so I cherish her truly in my heart,

Certain of the fairest prize;

Her name – Longing! Do you know her?

The messenger of constancy.

All I wish, more than anything,

is to see you like this. Free of burden,

Specially free of your own selfmade deadweights.

Fly with me

And we will carry each others black holes.

Personal piece for a very personal time. I'm not my best at this moment. But neither is she. Battling with yourself is awful, but feels so much worse when you see your friends going through the same. So I think this was an unconscious cleansing photoshop-therapy session.

Hope your life is as bright and happy as it can be.
