Mindboggling catalog of type catalogs. Indispensable sourcebook for research.

In my copy I found a letter from Mr. Annenberg to Mr. Jacob Chernofsky, thanking him for his review of this book.

I want to quote two parts of this letter where Annenberg gives an explanation for the lacking index and why he used pictures so sparingly:

(...) "I admit after seeing the book in its completion that it should have been indexed, but the fact that the center sections were printed last prevented me from taking the time to pursue that objective." (...) "Even though I kept explaining to the librarians the fact that this was not a profit-making venture, each illustration had a price tag. Furthermore, and most important, no one had a bit of information to offer."

Typography Compeition Entry:

This was a live competition from PSDTUTS. The only guideline I was given was to use the quote 'What we do in life, echoe's in eternity'. I had complete freedom over everything else.

I ripped this type almost directly off of my boyfriend's design for a drakkar sauna 7" record...

...but it's still handmade :)

I'm really pleased with how this turned out, especially for a first try.

A completely different style from his, but I am utterly in love with his stuff and was inspired by Julian to try out some typography.

For this typography project, the aim was to fold an A3 piece of paper which would fit into a standard letterbox and that when completely folded out would create an interesting typography image. At every fold there still had to be a typography image at each stage.
