This is a re-do of an image I posted a few days ago. I used a plain white background, this time, and I preferred the result. The previous version has been deleted.
HMM to everyone.

2022 one photo each day
The bigger one made in a new tin I got recently and the smaller one made in my old tin. I'm so pleased I can now make a loaf the size of the ones I used to buy in England.
The Brighton Marine Palace & Pier, known as the Palace Pier, (in foreground) opened in May 1899 and is now Brighton's only usable pier, it is 524 metres long. The West Pier was built in 1866 It has been closed since 1975, although after several fires in 2003 little other than the metal framework (seen in the background here) is now left in situ. The original Brighton Pier, the Royal Suspension Chain Pier, built in 1823 was destroyed in a storm in 1896 however the signal cannon can still be seen on the Palace Pier and the entrance Kiosks are still intact, and are now used as small shops on the Palace Pier. The remains of some of the pier's oak piles, sunk ten feet into bedrock, can still be seen at the most extreme low tides.
Thank you for taking the time to visit, comment, fave or invite. I really appreciate them all.

Europe, The Netherlands, Overijssel, Hengelo station, Blauwnet regional train (slightly cut)
We just returned from a delightful stay in the lovely eastern part of the Netherlands.
Since December 2017 the train service there is operated by Blauwnet (belonging to the French Keolis group) - before that, it was handled by the Dutch Railways (NS). The change was a result of the decentralization/privatization of railway lines through public tenders.
This is number 958 of the Minimalism / explict Graphism album and 106 of Train travel fascination.

Local charity Yorkshire Wildlife Trust has opened its brand new nature reserve, Ripon City Wetlands, near Ripon, North Yorkshire. It is a spectacular area of lagoons and reed beds for people to enjoy, just on the outskirts of Ripon (neighbouring Ripon Races). It has already attracted thousands of water birds
You can walk into the reserve from the entrance on the Ripon canal towpath, which makes a pleasant walk from Ripon (Approx. 2km/1.2mi) or a short walk from Littlethorpe Entrance is FREE but NO DOGS allowed with the exception of the hide by the canal.
This is one of the two Hides in the Wetlands.
Un atterrissage en bonne et due forme de plus pour la compagnie Air Rrrrourrrrou !
Et le tout dans un environnement très... abstrait !
At a stop on a rural road, I liked the two dead trees with much autumn colour in the background.
