Shukkeien is a small stroll garden, worth an hour of your time in Hiroshima. Here is one of its turtles. Interestingly, Shukkeien means "shrunken scenery garden", so called because the park displays famous Chinese scenery in miniaturized form with a pond, small islands, bridges and various plants.
A rehabilitated Loggerhead Sea Turtles makes it's way back to the ocean May 18, 2012 in Isle of Palms, South Carolina. The turtle was one of two that were rescued and nursed back to health by the sea turtle hospital at the aquarium.
It had reconstructive surgery to transform it into the terrapin it always knew it was...actually im just adding descriptions to images i'd taken a while back and I guess i assumed it was a turtle back then! In the famous words of the singer who is on that perfume advert "what a fool" I am...

These turtles were unfortunately captive in a large pool areas, which had fresh sea water, but still wasn't big enough (10x10 meters). It was at a hotel in Buka.
