When container ships are ready to leave the port, they go down to the widest part of the channel and the tugs turn them around. Takes about five minutes, which is pretty impressive considering just how *big* these things are.

The tram runs around the turning triangle at the Ferrymead Station end of the line. Behind the tram stop you can see the two trailer cars - a white-and-green open car, and a New Brighton Tramway brown and cream trailer. Both trailers are double-deckers.
