It wasn't coded LBZ then of course, just known as plain old Leighton Buzzard station. Back in May 1975, United Counties Bristol FS 668 has arrived from Luton and will return, as the route number indicates, via Hockliffe.

when i moved to upstate new york, i left my beloved southern magnolias behind, but... they have been replaced by these beautiful japanese magnolias. the tree behind our house was literally covered by hundreds of these, and more than a few of them made their way into our home.

this photograph is dedicated to my wonderful friend and photographer, erin. many of you know her work already, but if you don't be sure to check her out.

I simply cannot wrap my brain around the fact that Chloe is now 6 yrs. old! It just doesn't seem possible!

Unfortunately we couldn't have a big family celebration this year, but she came over for a few hours after school last Friday and we sang Happy Birthday, opened a few presents and ate pink birthday cake!

Then she went home and did it all over again at her house!

sometimes in life we have to decide:

shall we proceed with our life just as it is? everything is fine, you're happy most of the time but still sometimes you have the feeling to miss something.

or shall we turn our life upside down? you don't know what will happen it could go completely wrong and you will be unhappy or you could make new experience and reach a level of happiness you didn't even know is possible or at least can't remember.

But if you only think about it and never do someting, you actually decide for the first alternative. But is that the right decision?

This CASE IH Puma 240 CVX and straw turner belongs to a contractor who takes Michael and Chris' straw off in those giant bales. A lot of this goes for power generation (apparently).

WW&F Motorman Stewart Rhine demonstrates the operation of the built-in turntable on the museum's Model T Railcar RC4, which entered service in 2010. The crank he is turning extends a jack under the car, which makes contact with the ties below and lifts the car off the rails. Very precisely balanced on the jack, the car can then be swung 180 degrees to face the other direction, allowing the car to be turned virtually anywhere on the railroad. Once facing the desired direction, the crank is turned in the opposite direction to lower the car onto the rails and retract the jack. The entire process takes just a minute or two and can be done by just one person.

This image was captured during the August 2012 Annual Picnic event at the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway Museum in Alna, ME. Motorman Rhine was in the process of preparing the car for use as a second section on one of the museum's hourly trains.

Some glances don’t just meet the eye, they reach into you, asking questions you can’t quite answer. In this moment, time slowed, and the world narrowed to a look that spoke louder than words.

They are not broken by what came before, nor afraid of it. They are stronger—changed, yes—but never hardened, because malice was never part of their language. Sixteen years after first finding one another, something quiet and undeniable drew them back together, something rare and familiar that had been waiting patiently all along. Every moment, every detour, every shared and separate adventure finally converged into this knowing: the time was right. The backward glances have fallen away; there is no need to look behind them now. Their journey is built on love—always love—and on the hope that those left in the past can one day see that they, too, were part of what this became

This is probably the last image to be added to my series/album/photobook "Night Walk". I have already printed out a dummy (available on Amazon and Blurb) but will finalise the photobook... and change the title to "Nightwalking". That will complete phase #1 of this project. Phase #2 will involve quite different methods and I will need collaborators. Watch this space.
