Photographers outside the "Turntable" cafe. West Somerset Railway, Minehead.
Minehead is a coastal town and civil parish in Somerset, England. It lies on the south bank of the Bristol Channel, 21 miles north-west of the county town of Taunton.
But not in the way you would assume. For example, I hadn't touched a camera in months until this moment in time where something so small and seemingly insignificant filled me with a curiosity and passion I thought had long been left to the wayside. So to all my loyal Flickr Friends and lovely contacts: I am back, and hopefully this time to stay. Please take this simple photograph as a sign from me to you. In the next few days I'll be getting back into the swing of things. Forgive me for being a crap contact, I plan to change that. Better days to come <3

Abellio West London liveried NBfL LT154 LTZ1154 is seen taking up service on route 111 in Tentelow Lane, Norwood Green.
The new Wright Electroliner all-electric double-deckers scheduled for this route have arrived but I believe infrastructure installation issues at Abellio's Twickenham depot are delaying their appearance on this service between Heathrow & Kingston.
Turning the car round after dropping my Son at work grabbed this shot in the headlights of the three 08s stabled. 08643 moved inside soon after this shot for warm storage over Christmas. Up and running again should be in use in the New Year.

No. 85 'Merlin' was built by Beyer Peacock in Manchester for the Great Northern Railway (Ireland) in 1932. Entering preservation on the main lines in 1986, she was entrusted to haul the RPSI's Knocknarea railtour ten years later, at least the part north of Dublin.

September 26, 2014. The tree across the road is always the first to turn colour in the fall and this year is no exception. As you can see, it's well into the process of turning bright red. And yes, this means I'm back home again, taking an easy day to recover from the last few weeks.
When I first saw this couple, it appeared that they were breaking up. Moments later the young man got down on one knee and proposed. She was overjoyed and immediately said 'yes.' You can see the proposal shot in my 'Hawaii' set.
After turning their locomotive in Summerville, GA, the crew of Southern Railway Mikado #4501 charges north through the little town of Lafayette with the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum's "Summerville Special" headed back toward home in Chattanooga, TN. Viewers will note the presence of the stainless-steel observation car right behind the locomotive. While the TVRM does have a turntable to turn the engines in Summerville, the orientation of the consist remains the same southbound or northbound.
This image was captured on the first weekend in November of 2024 during the last weekend of Summerville Special operations. The location is just north of the old depot in Lafayette.
The early morning sun is starting to shine on my oak tree. Its leaves are beginning to change from bright green to the beautiful copper colour of autumn. If you stand still and watch, you can almost see it happening.

Lit-up underneath by the setting sun, an AA 738 on the downwind (over my house) turning onto the base leg for an eventual landing at Fort Lauderdale about 15 miles away.
An excursion train from Michigan's Huckleberry Railroad negotiates the wide, sweeping balloon loop at the west end of the 4-mile-long tourist line, located just outside the City of Flint. The train is making its final turn toward its base of operations at Crossroads Village, just a few hundred yards down the track.
During this August 2009 visit, the railroad was running their former Denver & Rio Grande Western K-27 "Mudhen" #464, one of just two survivors of a class of 15 identical engines built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works back in 1903. The K-27s were staples in the power line-ups of both the Denver & Rio Grande Western and the Rio Grande Southern for decades, with the last one, #464 pictured here, being retired in 1962.
