Love....
....it can leave you soaring so high, like a Lark singing with joy to the world below....
....it can also leave you so low, sucking the breath from your lungs, the energy from your muscles....
Love is such a brutal emotion...... and yet i'm so grateful to have it in my life, it lets me know that i'm alive, not just stumbling from one empty day to another.......
I feel things so intensely......... i know what true love is......
This was taken at a surprise proposal shoot just after she said yes. There is nothing like capturing raw, unposed emotion.
If you've known much about me for the last few months, you know at least a little bit about my wife. So I thought I'd take the time, and this lovely photo, to rave about her a bit (what better raving subjects than the ones we love, right?).
Not only is she an amazing photographer, especially for a "beginner" of sorts, but she is just an overall amazing person. Sometimes I am just blown away by the compassion she has, even when it sometimes becomes more than I can handle...in particular, her love of animals is something that astounds me every day. She'll be the first to tell you I get frustrated by it some days, but even in frustration I understand her love for those who are virtually helpless without us. Since we moved into our current apartment, she had been helping another neighbor take care of several of the strays in our complex. When those people moved out, they actually left 2 of their own cats behind, which Liina has been keeping an eye on also. Our main little buddy, Hunter has been limping a bit the last few days off and on, and this morning we took him to get checked out...when my wife thanked me, i realized how such a small thing that doesn't have any direct effect on her own life can make such a huge impact on her.
Through all the good times, and more importantly through all the bad, and really bad, times, she has been there right by my side and I must rave about her for that...she is my true love.
