Project 365: 61/365
- My best friend has asked me do to some pictures of her and her boyfriend soon, and since I have zero experience taking pictures of people, MY boyfriend and I ventured out on a beautiful spring saturday to see how we could do. Was hard without a remote and only the 10 second timer. I spend most of the time running to where he is and looking like it took no effort at all. This is just one of the many we took, one of my favorites...
should I post more??

Be true to yourself....
Be true to your heart.....
Be true to your nature.....
Be true to your friends/family.
Don't ever be afraid of what you are,
what you believe in and what your
destiny is.
Just be true.....you'll never get
anywhere in life pretending to
be something you're not.

This is painting 2, project 1, painting to the song "True Colors" by Cyndi Lauper.
Youtube song of "True Colors" with quotes:

As I listened these words popped into my head:
Om
Breathing in, I know that Spirit fills me…
I remember a Divine Spark is dwelling within
Always there, always available
A deep well which refreshes
Focusing on the breath of Life
I start to relax in peace
Light spreads
Dissolving fears anxiety
Joy dances upwards
Stars sparkle…

Do you consider yourself a true survivor?
This is a photo of my dad, Merced S. Bonilla, who will be 81 this September, 2009.
My dad is a burn victim. He survived being burned over 80% of his body, almost half of that 3rd degree.
He is a survivor of cancer.
He has endured the death of his twin Allen, my older brother Jack, and my mother, Beatrice. They were married for over 53 years, and knew each other since their early teens. My mother died 5 years ago, after a knee surgery operation. She died 5 hours after the surgeon told the family that the operation went ok, and that my mom would be fine. She died of a heart attack, caused by a blood clot.
He helped raise my younger brother Al, who has had polio since around age 5.
If that wasn't enough, he helped raise grandsons Jack, and Danny as if they were sons also.
I am a cancer suvivor also, but am no one compared to my dad!
Posted by brother @iamTalkyTodd, on the occasion of Tina's The Daily Create assignment, tdc560, given that she is currently indisposed.
tdc560: Make a photo of what friendship mean to you.
There is also an animated GIF version of this montage, which preserves the animations that are present in several of the individual badges.
My sister will shortly return to the ds106 community, and with a vengeance, bub.
In true Harry Potter style, I have an owl, I just need a cloak and magic wand to become a trainee wizard, don't I?
Yesterday, I went to the local schools summer fete and just had to hold this beautiful tawny owl, which happens to be the school emblem too. After 15 minutes She wasn't heavy at all and was very well behaved!
There were about 10 different types of owl, in all shapes and sizes. This exhibitor stall was one of the busiest there.. and the kids and adults love it, I know I did!
"I see your true colors
And that's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show
Your true colors
True colors are beautiful,
Like a rainbow"
While in the gift shop, I tried on a few choice "Canadian" items. (Ironically most were made in China). At least I am the one thing genuinely Canadian in this picture!
Taken at the start of the A-Z of Manchester Tour organised by the Manchester Modernist Society. Our group had assembled near the Mark Addy and we were looking at Aldine House (in the background) and this man walked by. Nothing too spectacular about that you might think, but this groovy fellow had his own portable music player in his shopping trolley and it was somewhat bizarre, but lovely, to see (and hear) this marvellous example of British eccentricity. It made me smile - music is so precious and I think it's lovely that he takes it with him on his travels. May you have music whereever you go sir.
The song that was playing? True love ways.
