Each model is folded from a single 9x1 rectangle of Japanese Foil-backed Washi. [36cm x 4cm.]
There is no overlapping of the two hearts in this variation. I had this model in mind when I first created the earlier version but this is the first time I folded them. No diagrams or rough sketches yet.
My friend Tracy and I made True Blood cupcakes a couple of months ago! The recipe we used has been removed.. If it re appears on the web I'll post it. They were delicious, to say the least.

i want to do something new, experiment with light, so i went to the forest, wait until its complete dark and start lighting "the picture" with a very strong flashlight. I moved through the scene and lighten the areas. Every image was unique, so i decide this was my best "painting" for this engagement this night. Others use doge and burn for their images, i use a flashlight ! :-)

The True Diversity Dinner was sponsored by several Alaska bloggers and information lists who had been active in the summer 2009 fight for the Anchorage equal rights ordinance A) 2009-64. After the ordinance passed but was then vetoed by Mayor Dan Sullivan, we decided to hold the dinner as an alternative to the Mayor's Unity Dinner (renamed from what used to by the Mayor's Diversity Dinner), because, we decided, "we all deserve a seat at the table."
