The penultimate Shakespere Express of the season approaches the Dorridge triangle in glorious late afternoon conditions 20227 was upfront for this leg paired with 20189, 1T53 Stratford to Snow Hill.
Finished the quilt top due to a rare weekend nap by my 3 year old!
I pieced this right after my string quilt when all the leftover stripes were laying about. I laid out the triangles in various ways and like this one the best. I came up with this triangle idea a while ago and had been itching to try it out. Blocks are 10.5".
Only scraps were used to make this quilt which is why some of the color strips are pieced. The white is from a 100% cotton bed sheet.
Just playing around looking for compositions. It's been said that triangles are dynamic. Well, between the mountain peaks and farm irrigation, there must be at least a dozen triangles in this photo. Driggs, Idaho, USA, July 2024

Taken for this week's Macro Mondays theme of Triangle(s). This is an acrylic bauble; I tried various ways to photograph it. Lighting it directly wasn't terribly effective; it was difficult to get the light source in the right position to make the triangular surfaces visible. So I tried back-lighting and it was much more effective!
