Well, on an evening like this you can't just take the one shot ;-)

When I go to the Florida Botanical Gardens, I am always drawn to this tree.

It has a striking appearance and beautiful color--there's just something about it that makes it really special...

It is covered in good sized 'prickles' which hold excess water during a drought, and the younger trees have a green trunk, which is capable of performing photosynthesis even when leaves are absent---older trees have a gray trunk.

Tree silhouette seen on a playground (on a bitterly cold day) in Aarhus, Denmark - March 2017.

This tree looked to be alone on the mountainside. When you looked up, it was not alone with the company of clouds and moon.

Thanks to everyone who takes the time to view, comment, and fave my photo.

Taken down at the first lake at the community garden today. It really is a lovely spot.

Some very challenging conditions down at Derwentwater this morning with frequent showers to give photographers and camera gear a regular soaking. Was good to bump into Shaun Derby again this morning at the lake side. I even managed to bag a few shots without raindrops on my filters. All in all a good couple of hours :-)

An old tree close to where i live.

Full moon over Carinthia

old trees know

how to be

how to sway in the breeze

how to shimmer in the sun

how to dance in the rain

how to watch the world go ‘round n ‘round

and be strong

and grow old gracefully

just to be

a tree

As I hid my differences

Air or under false pretenses

I thought that others do not dance

Me hiding in the eyes of people

I have never followed your route

I wanted to trace my way

To go higher, go higher

Or we forget memories

Jump higher, go higher

Move towards the future

I lost both times the trace

Dreams where I lived

I have not been able to tell you I love you

Only you keep

It must also be doubts

And ask them in other hands

To go higher, go higher

And draw memories

Jump higher, go higher

And believe in the future

To go higher, go higher

And draw memories

Jump higher, go higher

And believe in the future

Jump higher, go higher

Move towards the future.

Here is proof, as if we needed it, that autumn is passing quickly and we are almost into winter.

In the beauty, among the trees

Face caressed by the summer breeze

Hear the birds sing in the skies

See the clouds, float past your eyes

Walk between the spreading trees

Feel the lovely summer breeze

That falls upon your waiting face

As past you, beauty it does race

One last image from last weekend and my wander around a field near Plumpton trying out a few infrared images. Its a style of photography that is interesting, perhaps not everyone's cup of tea. It is always interesting to hear peoples thoughts on the images, so please feel free to comment.

The trailing edge of a thick bank of cloud associated with a weather front that had caused murky damp condtions all day - but cleared just in time for a spectacular sunset.
