While I was capturing this tree (during my morning walk with the dog), I saw the fog came in. First far away in the valley, at this moment the fog almost reached the tree. From the various pictures I took, I selected this one.

This tree was behind the caravan at Plehérel-Plage near Cap Fréhel and I took some shots of it with different skies in the back.

Here's the sixth.

A quiet Sunday morning at Larkrigg (bridge 180) near Kendal on the dry northern reaches of the Lancaster canal. I was there for about an hour before the tow-boat circus turned up. I was a bit worried at one point, if someone was to asked me what I was waiting for, my reply of "a boat" might have caused some concern. I did think that if I added that Captain Jack Sparrow will be in command, the police would soon arrive! The larch trees on the left were planted by the canal company, very forward thinking of them, as their boats used Larch.

Circumnavigated the lake - took far longer than it should due to the frequent camera stops!

There are many deciduous trees coming into leaf along the Cape Fear River Trail, thick enough now to spread a welcome shade as the season heats up.

This tree has managed to grow in an area of essentially solid rock in Yosemite National Park, and yet at home, in my own back yard, I can't even get some of the trees I planted in fertile soil to grow! I have already had to replace one of the trees two times, after the first two died. Maybe my soil is not so fertile after all, or my trees just aren't good at persevering!

Tree a few miles outside of Lena, Illinois near sunset.

This is an old picture that I found. I intended to post it a long time ago but never got around to it. It is a little stream out in the country (the middle of nowhere Kansas actually) that I drove by and turned around and went back to look again. The only thing I did to this was crop it. I hope you enjoy it.
