Trees in winter brown on blue

Taken at Newtown, Sydney. Thanks for viewing, hope you like it.

While I was capturing this tree (during my morning walk with the dog), I saw the fog came in. First far away in the valley, at this moment the fog almost reached the tree. From the various pictures I took, I selected this one.

The tall skinny trees looked like a forest of feather dusters.

I have walked past this tree many times, but today the light was just right- can you see the face?

Ich bin schon oft an diesem Baum vorbei spaziert, aber heute war das Licht so dass ich das Gesicht sehen konnte.

thank you all for your friendly comments! :-)) I'm happy, that this beautiful tree can grow the way nature wants..

From my photos, it looks like we got a lot of snow today, but it didn't add up to much. For a few minutes this morning, though, we got these big, beautiful flakes. Just wish it had lasted a little longer, as it only added up to about a half inch.

Pigeons natively do not like to sit in a tree. But thiz one likes so.

A quiet Sunday morning at Larkrigg (bridge 180) near Kendal on the dry northern reaches of the Lancaster canal. I was there for about an hour before the tow-boat circus turned up. I was a bit worried at one point, if someone was to asked me what I was waiting for, my reply of "a boat" might have caused some concern. I did think that if I added that Captain Jack Sparrow will be in command, the police would soon arrive! The larch trees on the left were planted by the canal company, very forward thinking of them, as their boats used Larch.

Same tree, different shot. Kind of amazing how a dead tree can make a interesting shot. Hope you like it.

A tree in the Salton Sea.

This tree was behind the caravan at Plehérel-Plage near Cap Fréhel and I took some shots of it with different skies in the back.

This is an old picture that I found. I intended to post it a long time ago but never got around to it. It is a little stream out in the country (the middle of nowhere Kansas actually) that I drove by and turned around and went back to look again. The only thing I did to this was crop it. I hope you enjoy it.
