This is a set of plants, planters and stuff, under and around our pecan tree out front.
The brick object to the side used to be part of our mailbox, it was coming apart so we replaced it with a factory-made mailbox post and bigger mailbox. Now it functions as a sort of stand, and sometimes seat.
A perfectly healthy tree was dug up and replanted elsewhere. This tree is now supported with scaffolding - because that is what humans do.
This is a shot of my tree on its west-facing side. Notice the abundance of moss and deep green fungal growth ranging far up from the base.
Fairy-green light filters through a grove of poplars near Lago Inferiore. They consititute a regional industry (paper) as well as beautifying the landscape.
This is a HUGE tree trunk. I was 92 feet away (see Distance below). I wish I had shown the scale better in the photo The dark center is nearly six feet tall. It was condemned to be felled, but the church which owns the property and is the same church that has the Weeping Willow posted a few weeks age, wanted to save the old tree and had concrete poured into the rotten core many years ago. It has held up well and now is expected to stand for many more years.
