Just a tree trunk chillin' in the warm light of a Hawaiian sunset.

Finally took the opportunity to stop on my way home from the gym today to photograph some beautiful crabapple trees on the parkway. Liked this one for its uniqueness.

Steel cable, perhaps to hold a compromised tree trunk together, is slowly being absorbed into the tree. Someone with a chain saw years from now is going to get quite a surprise. Not a very cheery image for year's end but I guess it said something to me about the slow, deliberate passage of time.
