This is a shot of my tree on its west-facing side. Notice the abundance of moss and deep green fungal growth ranging far up from the base.
Fairy-green light filters through a grove of poplars near Lago Inferiore. They consititute a regional industry (paper) as well as beautifying the landscape.
This was a great shot!! But really difficult to get!!
Emily and Stu had to clamber over loads of stuff to get to the branch as it was in the middle of a lake!!
I love the way it's turned out though with the colours.

Today, we went to a church-owned camp and retreat center, to see how our youth can help to clean up. We're planning a retreat there in April, and have learned that high winds and heavy snows have caused many heavy branches and trunks to break.
Soon, we'll be working to get the place ready for summer campers!
On an otherwise snowy day, the sun peeked out long enough for me to get some contrast in the broken part of this tree trunk.
