From Easter day at Skylands Botanical Garden, New Jersey. It was a very large and stately tree, I think they are cherry blossoms.

This older man was slowly walking up the hill admiring the tree in his path. When he reached the tree he put his hands on the trunk and rested there for a while. This was taken in Lars Anderson park in Brookline, Massachusetts.
Best viewed LARGE to see the man more cleary.

The John Hancock Center is a 100-story, 1,128-foot supertall skyscraper at 875 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago. When the building topped out in 1968 it was the second tallest building in the world and the tallest outside New York City. It is currently the fourth-tallest building in Chicago and the eighth-tallest in the United States.

Not sure about the title - just a track from my favourite Beach Boys album. The lower branches seemed to echo the line of the clouds. Taken in Gower, South Wales.
After leaving the LIRC behind we headed to Fostoria, OH for some mainline action. CSX Q384 crosses the NS diamond at Fostoria
Just caught the sun going down behind this tree throwing a great shadow towards me. I had to Manoeuvre around to get shade from the sun.
Tree of life Kings Canyon. The shape of the tree and the birds in the tree watching the sun come up, was I think laden with symbolism.
Conifer saplings replace their mature ancestors that were logged off this property. Timber is still a cash crop in Wisconsin.
Fall Sunset Through the Trees is a photo from the "Devils Elbow" section of North Park, PA. While the sun was soon covered up by the clouds, I was able to grab this last shot of the day.
"When you go out into the woods and you look at the trees, you see all these different trees. And some of them are bent, and some of them are straight, and some of them are evergreens, and some of them are whatever. And you look at the tree and you allow it. You appreciate it. You see why it is the way it is. You sort of understand that it didn't get enough light and so it turned that way. And you don't get all emotional about it. You just allow it. You appreciate the tree. The minute you get near humans, you lose all that. And you are constantly saying, "You're too this, or I'm too this." That judging mind comes in. And so I practice turning people into trees. Which means appreciating them just the way they are." - Ram Dass
Trees are wonderful subjects to photograph. Their unrefined organic makeup lends towards lots of added color and texture. The beautiful earth tones and texture of this old tree stump can still be admired even after the tree has been cut down.
The blindness is also likely a result of the denial that such a place can exist in this world, with the incessant blue skies and irrepressible sunshine.
