I didn't realize the impact this picket fence would have until I saw it on the big screen. My eye is drawn to the top of the fence's arch then back to the glassless window. I wonder what dreams where left behind that picket fence?

I kept going back and forth on whether this one worked for me, I think there's something in it that I like so interested to see what others think.
This was taken with the Fuji X-M1 and 27mm f2.8 which I'm using a lot, there's definite times when it shines over my Canon.
This path in the woods, bounded by two infinite parallel rows of trees, reminded me the setting of some fairy tale.
Taken from NE Kansas. The backside of the major thunderstorm was centered over Lincoln, Nebraska on the date listed. It was probably 130 miles distant.
A lone leafless tree waits for spring creeping up from the darks of the winter in the form of bluebonnets.
I really wanted to shoot the Milky Way with the tree but had to be content with just a hint of our home galaxy barely peeking over the horizon before moving on to to another pre-arranged shoot on a private ranch in Ennis , Texas.
This tree has somehow survived having the centre of its trunk burnt out completely into an arch shape which is big enough to crawl through.
Hope to return in a few months to see it with foliage.
Single hand held exposure taken (hanging over a gate) and tonemapped with Photomatix software.
Sigma 10-20mm wide angle lens.

sooc, yes, the colors are natural :). Which makes me happy.
A pair of trees we saw every day while I was in Scotland, what they called the "kissing trees." The way they were entangled over the road was just so pretty, along with the pinkish sky that morning.
It is a bit blurry because I took it while in a van.
