Old one from the archives given the bw treatment. Have a great weekend and thank you for faves and comments, always appreciated.
For Z-OUT, a project of the acclaimed Z33 art center,
architect Gijs Van Vaerenbergh (that's actually two people,
called Gijs and Van Vaerenbergh)
made this impressive artwork, called "Reading Between the Lines",
a see-through church, made of layers of steel,
hidden in the wonderful landscape in Borgloon, Belgium.

That's an older photograph I shot in 2009 for which I just ordered a 40" by 40" print for my office at work
The dome of the Reichstag consists entirely of glass and many mirrors. The goal is not only to bring the light deep down into the building where the meetings of the Bundestag take place. It also symbolizes the transparency of democracy. If you look closely you can see deep down the blue seats from the Chamber reflected in the mirrors.

From a fun shoot with MattyD90
, my brother, and my son. After shooting the last evening of the old Bay Bridge's Eastern Span being open (other side of island and not seen here). we stopped for an over the Western Span shot and got just a couple frames exposed before being ejected by the security company the U.S. Coast Guard has on Yerba Buena Island to help them with us shameful trespassers.
Anyway, the big deal is that the power was out to the section of the bridge closest to the camera and that quite awesomely allowed real, redish light trails.
Also interesting (to me and other weird people) is how the high fog from this distance perhaps seems to mimic the way the low fog looks at the Golden Gate Bridge. It's just forced perspective but the distance subtended by the tower tip is just like it.
Anyway, thanks, as always, for stopping by!

The Reichstag dome is an iconic glass dome constructed on top of the rebuilt Reichstag building in Berlin. It was designed by architect Norman Foster and built to symbolize the reunification of Germany. The distinctive appearance of the dome has made it a prominent landmark in Berlin.
The Reichstag dome is a large glass dome with a 360 degree view of the surrounding Berlin cityscape. The debating chamber of the Bundestag, the German parliament, can be seen down below. A mirrored cone in the center of the dome directs sunlight into the building. The dome is open to the public and can be reached by climbing two steel, spiraling ramps that are reminiscent of a double-helix.
