As a 35mm Kodak Ektachrome 200 colour transparency this into the sun shot did not have a lot going for it. However with a bit of work and conversion to black and white an acceptable image of 45101 waiting to depart Leicester with a northbound express has been achieved, 20th May 1978.
Locomotive History
45101 was originally D96 and was built at Crewe Works, entering traffic in April 1961, allocated to Derby MPD. It remained a Midland engine for all of its career predominantly allocated to Toton. In 1973 the Midland Main Line services started to migrate from steam heating to electric heating of the coaching stock and D96 was the first of fifty class 45 locomotives selected to have its Stone Vapour steam heating boiler replaced with electric train heating equipment (a Brush BL100-30 ETH auxiliary alternator) and emerged from Derby Works in March 1973 as 45101. It was withdrawn still allocated to Toton in November 1986 and dumped in the yard until moved to Vic Berry, Leicester and broken up during September 1988.

Very similar to a post awhile ago just a slightly different composition and reprocessed.
Sadly I wont be doing much photography in February as I am away 5 days a week on Tour. I will be taking the camera but if I do get chance to take any photos they probably wont be of the sea and I probably wont have time to plan my shots like I normally do :-(

oh... i just realized that this pic and the one i uploaded yesterday
are both brown, my photostream looks a little... dark(?).
Hm... it´s so dim at this time... maybe i should go ouside and
search some colorful autumn-trees...
but i´m not in autumn-mood, i´m in pre-christmas mood!!!

A rather poor 35mm Orwochrome UT18 colour transparency that was lucky to survive the waste paper bin in 1976. It looks like it is taken into the light and after numerous attempts with todays technology I cannot get a passable colour image, this black and white version being the best I can achieve.
31262 heads for the GE/GN Joint line after leaving March station with a passenger working, 21st August 1976.
Locomotive History
31262 was originally D5690 and it was built at the Brush Falcon works, Loughborough, entering traffic in March 1961. It was originally fitted with a Mirrlees 12 cylinder power unit, however after a couple of years in service this engine started to develop major problems and it was decided to re-engine all two hundred and sixty two locomotives of the class with a 1470bhp English Electric 12SVT power unit. D5690 left Doncaster works with its new power unit in May 1967.
After eleven years an Eastern Region engine in July 1972 it transferred to the Western Region (Old Oak Common) as part of the run down of the diesel hydraulic fleet. It returned to the Eastern Region in October 1975, initially allocated to Immingham and was transferred to March in February 1976.
On the 17th May 1983 31262 leading 31292 were running light engine at Dullingham, south of Newmarket, Cambridgeshire when they were in collision with a Plasser and Theurer track machine. The track machine was destroyed in the collision, 31262 suffered severe damage and 31292 a damaged cab. The driver of the track machine was killed. Both locomotives were taken to Cambridge where 31262 was withdrawn prior to them both being moved by road to Doncaster works around the 25th June 1983. On arrival at Doncaster works 31262 was immediately broken up, 31292 was repaired.

TFL - PLASTIC
Colour Transparency film that I never cut and mounted. This was, as I remember, a Kodak film that produced both a negative and a colour transparency as seen here. It was explained to me that this was a movie film and the negative portion was used to produce the transparency strip that was used for projection. Looking at the actual transparency I see it is signed AGFA GAVAERT and also Kodak 2 Safety Film.
I sort of remember it being sold in 35mm canisters that included processing that was done by Kodak. This was in the mid 1970s but I cannot find any info online to identify the film.

Lago de la colomina, al fondo podemos ver si nos fijamos bien el refugio que también lleva el mismo nombre, es un paraje idílico, un rincón del parque nacional de Aigüestortes y Sant Maurici precioso, como todo el parque, lleno de rincones maravillosos que hay que conservar-los!!
Colomina lake in the background you can see if you look good also the refuge of the same name, is an idyllic spot, a corner of the Aigüestortes National Park and St. Maurici precious as the whole park full of wonderful places that need to keep!!
It's not the kind of picture I usually take, but I think this little fellow looks kinda cute ;-)
