The physiology of this little swamp fly is so simple and transparent with light from a diffused flash that he looks hand drawn.

These photos were taken in the 1970s and early 1980s using Ektachrome transparency film. Camera and lens unknown. They were recently "scanned" using a Nikon D780, a Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24-120 1:4 G ED macro lens, and the Nikon ES-2 Film Digitizing Adapter.

made this impressive artwork, called "Reading Between the Lines",
a see-through church, made of layers of steel,
hidden in the wonderful landscape in Borgloon, Belgium.
