We had several gray cloudy days this week, but on Monday there was midday sunshine coming in the dining room room window. A good spot for a cat nap!
The glass frontage of our local Odeon cinema, with the mid day clouds reflected in them giving an almost translucent effect. You can just see the start and end of the first 2 letters in one of the windows.
Finished getting my trailer loaded, and stopped at a truckstop nearby to get ice and something to eat. On the way in I saw a tree in fall colors and in direct sunlight, but figured if I got under and inside the canopy of leaves, it might be interesting. So, I got my ice, walked a block and took 19 photos, then got some jambalaya at Popeyes. Back to the truck to download and see what I had. I'm looking forward to your opinions my friends.

I captured this scene in the late afternoon light of this tiny insect resting on my lanai door. I love the translucent wings, long antenna, and bulbous eyes. He was so translucent I almost didn't see him. I quickly grabbed my tripod, set up, and potographed him. He flew away as soon as I captured him.

Translucent deep blue-green two-handled glass jar, filled with cremated remains.
In the 1st century CE., glass vessels became a popular choice for use as cinerary urns, as they were far less expensive than sculpted marble vessels. Many have been found still containing cremated remains, as was this jar, which is said to be from Augustoritum in Gaul (modern Limoges, France).
Roman, Flavian, 2nd half of the 1st century CE. Free-blown glass.
