I really liked the way the light changes from light to dark across this image. Hence the name... transitions.

That's from the same hopeless grey-in-grey snowy cold seemingly colorless pandemic Februar day it took the "Water grass" photos, same location essantially. Again these tracks or patterns in the surface, some semi-abstract icy water transition scene with a nice color palette. Even though I used a tripod to lay the focus plane dead straight onto the ice, this has a weird three-dimensional pop to it I feel.

I wen t optimistically looking for the first spring beauty but had to accept the silhouettes of transitioning pieces of forest through the final snow

There's been enough red in my day today. 777 points on the DOW, 200 points on the S&P, 840 points on the TSE.

Better to go with mostly green for now.

The end of one season indicates the beginning of another. It's always exciting to witness the overlapping of seasons and see the transition begin.

As spring approaches, many neighborhood trees lose their leaves, making way for ipê-amarelo (Handroanthus serratifolius) blossoms.

The transitional area of a soap bubble. This only lasts a few second before the bubble gets so thin it can't even reflect light. Part of my Chromaflow project. Check it out on instagram @chroma_flow

Grandparents will notice a big change in their grandchildren after not seeing them for several months, but the change occurs over time, your kids don't wake up one morning and find themselves suddenly different, they have time to adjust. More sudden transitions, like moving to a new job, new school or the loss of someone close to you affect you more deeply and can bring on the anxiety of transition.

Several things can help you survive periods of sudden transition. Remind yourself that this time will pass, that nothing lasts forever. This time of transition will become just a part of your normal life, given time. Allow yourself enough time to adjust to the new things it brings and find positive enjoyment wherever you can in these new experiences.

Use your strengths to help you through this time of transition. You have been through many transitions before in your life. Remember a period when you successfully went through a transition and identify the tools that helped you through. Was it a positive attitude, your determination to make it work, or the strong support network of friends and family that got you through?

Remember that you don't have to go it alone. Draw on the support of friends and family and surround yourself with people who will help you through. If you feel you need more support than your friends can offer, get closed ones help to support you. You will get through this time but you don't have to do it all on your own.

This reminds me of the times when my images were my diary. Where you can unload what is draging you down and come back to remember it once you are ready. I always loved the way photographs give me the chance to share it as a vague whisper. You might look at it and relate to the feeling but we will never know eachothers story in detail. And that's ok.

Isn't it?

cape cod. this is where the rocks of Maine and New England give way to foot friendly sands, although you really have to get a few states farther south of here to find really clean of rocks beaches that you can run around on carelessly without stubbing a toe. i'm up late working on a video edit wherby i filmed the whole event of my fathers and his cousins 80th birthday party, featuring a bag-piper as the family has some scotch in it, most certainly after 5:00 pm any day. anyhow, this is the reason that i got the cam i'm using- to film some great family moments, and it's proving its worth in spades, as it were. back to the edit, have a nice day- Nate.

While on a spring break family trip to Rapid City I didn't have much opportunity to shoot RCP&E but did manage a few shots to capture the transition era between DM&E (CP) and G&W. With temperatures hitting 70 with mostly sunny conditions on the days were were there this was a good choice to escape a snowy and cold Duluth.

Nature’s transition from autumn to winter knows no calendar and her beauty knows no bounds…
