Devil May Cry

Devil May Cry is a video game series developed by Capcom and created by Hideki Kamiya. The gameplay consists of heavy combat scenes in which the player must attempt to extend long chains of attacks while avoiding damage in order to exhibit stylized combat; this element along with time and the amount of items collected and used are taken under consideration when grading the player's performance.

As a puppet of Mundus, Trish was originally cruel and uncaring, but after Dante saved her, she began to develop emotions towards him, and eventually sacrificed herself to save him from Mundus's attack. After being revived, Trish joined Dante at his shop, and showed excitement at being his partner. She rejoins him in Devil May Cry 4 she has basically the same habits, and additionally seems to enjoy pizza, like Dante, though with a different behavior, such as sitting with her legs over one and the other on dantes table, while flirting with Dante, licking her fingers after finishing the piece she got from the Dante's pizza box, doing a stereotypical girly thing, reapplying lipstick while looking into the reflective blade of Sparda, similar to a vanity mirror. She also executes taunts, such as mentioning "May the Savior be with you." until she chuckles and mentions "As if.", and showm to be lovey-dovey with demons by blowing an explosive kiss.

While disguised as Gloria, Trish is very flirtatious and sexually teasing.

Devil May Cry 1

The demon king Mundus tries to kill Dante by using a very powerful beam from his third eye. However, Trish returns Dante's favor and sacrifices herself instead, pushing Dante out of the beam's path and allowing herself to be struck instead. Before following Mundus into the Underworld, and believing Trish to be dead, Dante utters the famous line, "I should have been the one to fill your dark soul with light!" He then leaves her with the Sparda and the Perfect Amulet. Later, cornered by a heavily mutated Mundus. She lends him her power and Mundus is defeated. With Mundus destroyed, Dante and Trish embrace, and she begins to cry. Dante tells Trish that she has become human, because "Devils never cry". It is implied that she works with Dante at the newly-renamed Devil Never Cry.

Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition

By this time, Trish is seemingly living with Dante and working alongside him as a Devil Hunter. When Lady informs them about the actions of the Order of the Sword, Trish takes the Sparda to Sanctus while posing as "Gloria", and is made an Executive of the Holy Knights. She uses this placement to spy on the Holy Knights. She discards her disguise once Dante and Nero reach the Order's headquarters, and after the Savior is activated, she goes to evacuate the island's townspeople while Dante attacks the giant statue.

After Sanctus and the Savior are defeated, Trish returns to the Devil May Cry shop with Dante

Formerly, a Windsor Timeline, which was only that name by frame, since I had swapped all original parts out one-by-one. See it here.

The geometry is perfect! It was actually the only frame I could find with this combination of geometric features: 34c+ tire clearance and use of medium reach (43-57mm) brakes, long top tube - 565mm (I got gorilla arms, bitches!), short head tube - 122mm, and relaxed angles that compound to give ZERO toe overlap up to 30c tires.

The build quality is good, but not great. The paint job was over and under applied in some areas and chips easily. Also, one of the seat stays is slightly misaligned where it's welded to the seat tube.

The ride is awesome, though. The 54 cm frame, which comes in at about 4.6 lbs with it's double-butted main triangle, feels very solid, while absorbing some of the NYC road and path roughness (Steel is real!).

Outsmarted by Putin.

[December 2011] The Traitor people have completely changed the design of this bicycle, from the fram to the fork to the components - ok, maybe one or two components are the same but essentially the name is the main carryover. The component selection is now less random. Also, it does not appear they offer an option with two front rings like this one has at all. For whatever (silly) reason, I really like the lugged fork on the one I bought; the new one has a welded design I think is ugly - oh well.

[June 2011]This is the most viewed photograph in my Flickr set. If you read my thoughts about the bike below, let me know what you think in the comments if you have a minute. Thanks!

[August 2009] Just bought this here (in Seattle) - should be an excellent commuter bike. Interesting assortment of parts on a old-style steel frame. Ultegra brake levers/shifters, 105 in the back, FSA compact crank in the front, Avid road disk brakes, Nitto "traditional" road handlebars. A little funky.

And yes, the seat post, seat, handlebar tape, hubs and rims are all white. The spokes are black and the frame is a dark grey. The fork chrome (I guess). The fork is also lugged, while the frame is welded.

Will replace the pedals with cages with better pedals when I get this thing home (Arlington, VA).

www.traitorcycles.com/Bikes_Ruben.cfm is a photo from the traitor (manufacturer) site showing the paint in more detail, but the version shown there doesn't have a front derailleur and has a single bar-end shifter.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As of November 2010, having owned this for 15 months, I have had to have the rear wheel rebuilt with DT Swiss spokes because the "cool looking" black coated spokes that came with this bike turned out to be junk. Popped three in quick succession after about 2,000 miles. (I did check the wheel for correct tensioning after one went.) Oh well! One needs to use common sense - if something seems more about looking cool than being a good approach, probably better to take a pass. I expect to rebuild the front wheel, too.
As one might be able to tell, I fault the company for this problem - a spoke on a rear disk wheel on a road bike is going to have to deal with more stress than one on a bike with rim brakes since the spokes carry all the braking load from the hub area out to the rim (where the rubber meets the road to do the stopping for real) as well as the drive load going forward. Cheaping out on spokes does not, however, seem to be particularly unusual for bike companies, just particularly annoying for bike purchasers.
I have a blog with some posts about this bike:
wheelbike.blogspot.com/2011/04/avid-bb-7-disk-brake-adjus...
describes some problems I had with the Avid disk brakes.
wheelbike.blogspot.com/2011/03/108-links-half-inch-of-str... describes my surprising discovery that the Ruben came with the cheapest SRAM ten speed chain available (on the same bike that has Ultegra shifters, this seemed odd) and what I learned about chain stretch. And replacing ten speed cogs!
Originally built by Edward I as the water entrance to St. Thomas's Tower (which held the royal lodgings).
The name, Traitors' Gate, dates from at least 1544, as this would be the route into the Tower for prisoners.
Star Wars Black Series First Order Stormtrooper (Equipped with Riot Trooper's Stun Baton)
Many prisoners of the Tudors entered the Tower of London through the Traitors' Gate. The gate was built by Edward I, to provide a water gate entrance to the Tower, part of St. Thomas's Tower, which was designed to provide additional accommodation for the royal family.
Her Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress, known as the Tower of London, is a historic castle located on the north bank of the River Thames in central London. It lies within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, separated from the eastern edge of the square mile of the City of London by the open space known as Tower Hill. It was founded towards the end of 1066 as part of the Norman Conquest of England. The White Tower, which gives the entire castle its name, was built by William the Conqueror in 1078, and was a resented symbol of oppression, inflicted upon London by the new ruling elite. The castle was used as a prison from 1100 (Ranulf Flambard) until 1952 (Kray twins), although that was not its primary purpose. A grand palace early in its history, it served as a royal residence. As a whole, the Tower is a complex of several buildings set within two concentric rings of defensive walls and a moat. There were several phases of expansion, mainly under Kings Richard the Lionheart, Henry III, and Edward I in the 12th and 13th centuries. The general layout established by the late 13th century remains despite later activity on the site.
