Electro Baton still needs a lot of work. The end piece is actually cut in two, but will need black lines to make it more noticeable.

No traitor in this house, says the card in the window.
The small brown card in the window is the one displayed in the windows of strikers houses in the Great Quarry strike 1900 - 1902.

♫ And it should be ecstasy
But you made hell from something heavenly
Now I just watch you bleed
It should be easier to leave
Oh I just gave my heart to a traitor
Maybe I was dumb enough to think I could save ya
Love I'm just a sinner and I can't be you savior
Why am I the one to put myself in danger?
All for a traitor love ♫

Traitor Claimer, FN-2199, TR-8R, whatever... In my mind, his name will always be Competent Trooper!
This scene was pure eye candy. It would've been nice if the Stormtrooper had more lines to exchange with Finn as they fought, but at least the end of the fight was very satisfactory!
If you're interested to see the before-after effects, you can see it here and my super cheap photo studio set up here.
And can anyone spot the special character cameo in this photo?
Bill's Gate
Traitor's Gate at the Tower of London as set up by William the Conqueror, or 'Guillaume Le Batard' (fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guillaume_le_Bâtard,_conquérant) or 'Bill the Bastard' .
He sailed over to Britain, luckily found an inexperienced and exhausted British army and public who had been fighting on several fronts, allowing him to overcome the disadvantage of having the lower ground.
He set up his multiple homes, which he called castles and initiated the Domesday Book allowing him to catalogue every asset in the land as a precursor to tighter taxation. A bit like a Ye Olde Internete of Thingse.
Bit of a fan of spikes too.
It's a good job history never repeats itself.

One of the collection of larger scale Darktide figures. I got the unpainted reference ones, and painted him up in the (rough) colors of The Bloodpact (40k, Gaunt's Ghost series). He stands about 6 inches tale, and originally came with his rilfe in an across the chest pose. I didnt like it much, so got the cleaver from another large scale 40k figure and had him holding the rile
I am in love with my new Finn and Rey minifigs. I was super stoked to get a new maskless Kylo Ren minifig as well.
I try not to get into spoilers, so I won't go into details of this part of the story. Having that said, of the entire film this scene moved me the most. The combination of scenery, the pressing nature of the situation, all the characters reaching their emotional peak, and the swelling music really hit me in the right spot.
If you're interested, I posted a photo of how I took this shot here.
First figure of 2016!
This is the second figure in my series in which I am making a villain from each episode. The others in the series are:
Episode II: Attack of the Clones - Jango Fett
I wanted to make a First Order Stormtrooper since I saw the film opening week, and only got around to it now. It was originally planned to be a simple trooper, but upon my good friend Sander's suggestion, I made TR-8R, a character who has been very popular online lately.
The full story behind this traitor-hating trooper has been revealed on starwars.com - he is/was a member of Finn's squad and is FN-2199, AKA 'Nines', who is mentioned in the novel 'Before the Awakening' by Greg Rucka.
Anyways, to the figure now, all of the details on the body were sculpted with ProCreate/made from scratch with styrene, with exception of the helmet, which is a standard TLG helmet which had details added and the white repainted to match the armour. The traitor-killer (ie. the Z6 Riot Baton) was made using styrene and a Brickarms Halo SMG.
Also, painting and photographing flat white figures is a pain in the ass.
Hope you guys like the figure! :D

Firstly from the Thames with a good view of the Traitor's Gate entry, then on a walk around.
Just another great thing to experience in England.
"The Tower of London is one of the world’s most famous fortresses and has seen service as royal palace, prison, armoury and even a zoo. The ancient stones hold within them dark secrets, as fortified vaults shine with priceless jewels and historic uniformed Beefeaters stroll the grounds. Situated in Central London."

Finally, that big black cloud that had been dogging me throughout my walk had passed over, giving me a good soaking in the process, but it meant the rest of my afternoon was spent in decent sunshine with sparklingly clean air.
I remember feeling quite proud that I'd finally had that soaking. I used to consider myself a fairly committed rambler back in the day, and I'd be out in all conditions (well, most), but I've become a bit soft in my old age and now I’m definitely a 'fair weather rambler'. Made me feel like a real one again.
He died for our spins
He fought the traitor when no one else could
yeah I'm sure you guys know the rest
Mission Log from Cpt. Bannon: Our original mission was to ensure the imperial energy supply from the drilling platforms on the surface of Sarapin. However, things took an unexpected turn, when we received a direct holo transmission from Moff Barthol. Barthols number one agent, Lord Amus has revealed that Senator Belrus is in league with the New Republic and that he is secretly scheming to undermine the Commenor Remnant. Personally I’ve always felt that Commenor has been a little too lenient with the New Rebuplic. Sometimes you’ve got to wonder - what happened to the glory of the Empire?
Log update: We have received word that the treacherous Senator Belrus is in fact on Sarapin. How convenient that he is meeting with the administrator overseeing Sarapin mining. We have been instructed to rendezvous with Agent Amus and his men on the surface in order to capture the senator and return him to imperial custody.
A few moments later on a landing platform at the Sarapin mining administrations headquarters…
Cpt. Bannon: Senator! STOP! There’s nowhere to run! You are under arrest for treason against the Empire!
Administrator Shatul: Kill hime! Kill ze traitor!
Agent Amus: Sure would save us a lot of paperwork! But... Our job is to bring him in.
Belrus: Yes! I surrender! Take me back to Commenor… I demand to talk to High Command!
Cpt. Bannon: Right awa…
Agent Amus: Would you like a cup of Jawa Juice as well? Your imperial rights was revoked the moment you sided with the Republic scum! Take him away!

I've spent a little more time on this build - let me know what you think! A few inspirational shoutouts to: ARKUM ELO and Thorsten Bonsch!
Messing around with some Photoshop. I'm still having trouble transitioning the backdrop to the image I used, but I'll get it to work eventually.
I've included this really because of a nice little moment that happened. As I'd walked down the lane, I'd heard the Red Deer (I assume) bellowing in the woodlands around me. A slightly unnerving sound, especially if you're on a footpath in the middle of nowhere, but it is rutting season so it's to be expected. I crossed the bridge and looking back as I lifted my camera to see if it was a decent shot, the biggest stag I've ever seen trotted out of the woodland on the left next to the far post, and stood in the lane looking straight at me. It's antlers were absolutely huge and conjoined like hands rather than just the usual points. What a sight! Three seconds later it trotted back and was swallowed up by the woodland.
Now I know just how Helen Mirren felt in 'The Queen'!
