I found a picture of my Basic Training platoon from 1981. The scan is not too great as the photo was larger than the scanning bed.

Wilson is indoors, frantically working to get the June page of his Free Calendar ready in time for June 1st – he says it's vital that it should be ready on schedule, as the 'Massive Event' it celebrates falls on the 1st.
Polly and Billi, meanwhile, are enjoying the sun in the garden, teaching their children how to collect nectar and pollinate flowers.
Neither bee has been unable to shift the few grams they put on over Xmas, so are using a tiny step ladder to access the flowers and demonstrate their pollinating and nectar-gathering skills; sadly, they can no longer leave the ground under wing-power.
This effort may all be in vain, however, as both their adopted children are in fact Ladybirds, so i fear the 'Bee Instinct' just won't be in their genes...

While on a whale watch in Maui during the winter migration, we we're lucky enough to encounter a mother humpback teaching her calf to fin slap. The pair began to explore our boat for almost ten minutes, the calf on her back while slapping the water with her pectoral fins showing us what she had learned. As they swam along, we couldn't help but bask in the grandeur of these wonderful animals.

New Volvo FH460 training vehicle. Used on our own driver development programme, covering various subjects. The job in hand here is Longer Semi-Trailer (or LST) training as required by the Department for Transport before commercial use by drivers. The trailer is a Don-Bur 15.65m positive twin-steer Tear Drop curtainsider.
Wildland Firefighters on Rappel capable crews, come from all over the nation each spring to train at the National Helicopter Rappel Program’s Rappel Academy at Salmon AirBase, in Salmon, Idaho.
Wildland fire aircraft play a critical role in supporting firefighters on wildland fires. Helicopters also deliver aerial crews called Heli-Rappellers to wildland fires. These are specially trained firefighters that rappel from helicopters in order to effectively and quickly respond to fires in remote terrain.
Heli-Rappellers may land near a wildfire but if there is no landing zone close by they can utilize their skills to rappel from the hoovering helicopter. Once on the ground, crews build firelines using hand tools, chainsaws, and other firefighting tools. Forest Service photo by Charity Parks.
