I based this locomotive on the LB&SCR A1 class Terrier tank engines. This is actually my oldest lego train, but its gone through several rebuilds since its life began, including the recent addition of a red and black color scheme and Big Bens Medium drivers.

I went to the coast to visit my parents the last weekend. I love trains and I never miss a chance to use them.
I adore this train...
I took this picture a couple of weeks ago. The sun was so that I couldn't take the shot from the opposite direction, however this shot had a few house peaks that I didn't like. Darnies~ I tried to hide them with trees...so squint while you look at this and try not to focus on my "cloning" work. :)
Maybe it's the rust, maybe it is the pop of the red against the snow...this train just catches my eye as I drive by it daily.

At Riverside Yard. This is a work car -- these cars don't run in service anymore. They were used from late 1976 to (I think) 2007.
My unit I/d is not always accurate so if anyone can I/d this unit seen at Wabtec Doncaster on the 21/12/15 I would be grateful to know.
hikers on the Vincents' Gap Trail in the Angeles National Forest - looking like a human centipede train as they hike up a hill. We gave it the right-of-way!

I bought in an antique store this small photo album. On the cover the word "Frenagraph" is impressed in beautiful cursive golden letters, It's a small album, about 12 by 12 cm square and contains about 20 photographs. Iv'e reproduced here three of the best ones. All photographs seem to be taken in Scotland at the turn of the century. Many pictures are plain landscapes with no interesting features. Curiously, my research has revealed nothing as to what "Frenagraphs" are as such and I assume now that Frena was probably the family name which ensued the word Frenagraphs for the reason that the photograhers of that name took the pictures. I could be wrong. No photographic process is known as Frenagraphs so it must be a name. If anyone can illuminate me on the origin of these I would be most appreciative.
I took this photo on the way to work today. I walked down to the front carriage of the train and as I get on at the start of the line, I usually have a carriage to myself. Today I had to share it with this wannabee train driver. He stood there for the entire length of my 15 minute journey and didn't think once to sit down on those lovely heated orange seats.
I've tried to build a nice train for years now, but all my trains where just awful. but since two months I'm starting to learn how to build nice trains. these two train wips are a result of many years of practise. please comment, so I can improve them even more.
En route from Rabat to Marrakesh on the overnight train. The sun was slowly rising and I hauled my tired, sore body from the tiny seat where I had been sleeping upright for hours. Carefully picking my way over a tangle of legs, I made my way out of the cramped compartment to the narrow passageway outside. "Just like the Hogwarts Express," I remember thinking to myself. I settled in the passageway and watched as the barren alien landscape flew by, impatient for the adventures that lay ahead.

I had to try this with a dollar bill, it was a litte difficult so the train looks kind of smashed.

John Milton was right, “they [do] also serve who only stand and wait”. Look at them; line upon line of steam engines seen here at Bristol’s Barrow Road shed in the early 1960s. A train spotter’s delight; Black 5s, Jinties, 0-6-0 goods engines, ex- LMS, ex- GWR all mixed up together awaiting their next duty. When was this; at a week-end, a Bank Holiday an evening? One can almost hear them hissing together as if discussing the day’s work just ended. What is the collective noun for a gathering of locomotives? Whatever it is here they are waiting in line to serve, eager workhorses of a bygone era.
