The Ultrasonic Test Train at Craigendoran Junction, i know its a bit blurred but what are those reflections on the windscreens ?
3PS6, hauled by the rare combination of 'Minties' NR85 and NR84 are almost at an end of their trip across the Trans Australian Railway as they slow for the entrance of Spencer Junction Yard en route from Perth to Sydney.
The load for this train was 50 wagons for 3320t and almost full length, at 1776m long. In Spencer Junction, the crew van carrying the spare crew will be detached with any Adelaide loading and Sydney loading attached before continuing east.
Train stration Tumangan, North Korea, border to Russia. Entering North KJorea by train from Russia at the borderpoint Khasan/Tumangan is officially not allowed for tourists, we (a friend of mine from Switzerland and I) did it nevertheless.
After the border formalities were finished, we could freely walk around and take photos at Tumangan station. Nobody prevented us from that.

Iowa Northern freight going across the Cedar River bike trail at 6th st in Waterloo, Iowa They have a maze you have to go thru there at the crossing to slow bikes and signs to look for train. I love shooting trains here as it kind of ridiculous looking with a train going thru there.

A common sight on Japanese commuter trains is the passenger that sleeps or snoozes.
Many commuters can be seen with their heads bowed, eyes closed and gently rocking to the rhythm of the train - I am getting sleepy just writing this.
The trains are smooth, quiet and peaceful compared to western trains. The seats are very soft, comfortable AND heated in winter. Combine all these factors together and it's almost impossible to stay awake.
In the photo above, 3 commuters are sleeping and one is faking it - which one?
