A man paddles under the second half of the total solar eclipse. The light in the sky is dim and the moon is about half covering the sun.
Looking west from the Burlington, VT waterfront, the Adirondack mountains of Upstate New York are in the distance. Snow from over the weekend still remains on a few of their peaks.

This is the beer that 4 Quarters Brewing brewed up to commemorate the total solar eclipse, 2024. Today is the day before the event and the beer was flowing in the 4-Quarters Beer Garden.
Not only is the beer delicious, but the artwork is amazing. It was a premonition for the excitement and electricity that we would all be feeling the next day.

As you go through the next few photos, do keep an eye out on the prominences at both the 6- and 3-o'clock positions (south and east, respectively).
Within the 4-min of totality, you can observe their eruptions. The one at 6 o'clock is so bright that it can be seen with the naked eyes! The prominence eruption at 3 o'clock is of a lesser intensity.

Cropped view of the 2024 eclipse from Hamilton, Ontario.
The real magic starts around the 55 second mark when you see totality beginning. Then again two minutes later when totality ends. The clouds obscure the stars but enhance the overall feeling experienced.
Shot using an Insta360 v3 and edited down to this view. Full 360 view is available upon request.
