Composite of 2024 Total Eclipse
This is a composite with Eclipse images captured from two different rigs.
The partial images were shot using my WO Z61, Real Player Apollo-M Mini, SW Star Adventurer GTi, generic solar filter. These were 20sec videos shot every 2 minutes. In retrospect I should have pivoted to stills as the clouds made the stacking/processing somewhat difficult.
The Corona/Diamond Ring images were captured with my Nikon D7500, Tamron 70-200mm F2.8, Kenko 2X teleconverter, ZWO AM5 Mount, Celestron universal solar filter. Unfortunately I did not get as many planned images with this rigs due to an issue with the program I was using to control the Nikon. Fortunately I did capture these images.

Today is the big day of the Solar Eclipse that will be visible across a wide path of North America. At the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), there were numerous events. The beautiful weather and the fact that the next one will be in this area some twenty years from now brought many people about. The eclipse in Ann Arbor was almost a total one, around 98% coverage of the sun. For totality, you had to go to Ohio. It was nice to participate in an activity that we all experienced at the same time. When the eclipse was at its greatest coverage of the sun, there were cheers in the Law Quad. You can see a few solar flares visible on the sides.

A drizzly day, so just watched the clouds laying in a field of clover in Audubon Park, when suddenly, there it was--for about seven seconds.
