I captured this lunar eclipse as it is happening now... fresh out of my camera.
This is the last total lunar eclipse till 2014. Indirect sunlight has caused this dramatic cast over the moon.
This is the second total lunar eclipse this year, the first one occured in June but I could not capture that due to unclear skies. Today, I just got lucky.

2017 was the year I finally got some decent shots of otters.
This is one of a sequence of shots of Oban's resident otter, closer than I have ever previously managed to get to one of these beautiful mammals.
This gorgeous girl spent about 30 minutes fishing in the harbour before returning ashore for a well deserved pamper.
Definitely one of my best wildlife experiences last year.
Soon it will be time to go back to Scotland and hopefully meet up with these beautiful mammals again.

Here you see a series of the phases during the total lunar eclipse an June 15th. Regrettably the moon rose very late, when most of the eclips was already over. After the clouds to were gone, I had the chance to shoot this series.

So this was the year I decided to just go all out.......TOTALLY commit to my Christmas Cat themed Christmas, right down to the outfit I decided to put on Christmas afternoon.
On a normal year I might have slipped the socks under a pair of pants ,or maybe worn the crazy leggings with a solid color top if I was going to a friends house that knew me, or maybe just the sweater (which lights up!) with a pair of jeans........but I thought this was a year to make a fashion statement in the privacy of my own home that truly embraces who I really am!

Another shot of a baby Rocky Mountain Goat practicing his climbing skills on Mt Evans from our trip last July.
