Here is a 3 part lunar eclipse compilation from early Friday, March 14th 2025 from Toledo, OH. Going left to right, the first image is from 2:09am, which is about 16 minutes until totality began. The second photo was right at 3am on the dot near max totality, and then the last image was back into the partial phase at 4am or 29 minutes after totality ended. The colors were more muted as there were some high transparent clouds that had moved in by that point.
This is what I am hope to be like next week in Italy.
We fly tomorrow so a final Happy Furry Friday before we go.
My neighbour is looking after the house and cats - remember she also has four cats so that will be eight to feed!!
Wishing you all a relaxing weekend

Prospect Point is a point at the northern tip of Stanley Park in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, located on the south side of the First Narrows of Burrard Inlet. The point, which as its name suggests, is a viewpoint, landmark and tourist attraction in Stanley Park and has a restaurant and other facilities, is just west of the Lions Gate Bridge.

what a day!
woke up with a headache after a long night of partying, after 3-5 coffees I turned on the dishwasher, but unfortunately I discovered that it was broken, I then spent hours trying to find a repairman. He came, but unfortunately he wasn't very competent and flooded our kitchen... after a lot of back and forth he finally managed to get the machine working again, I was relieved, but also at the end of my tether... Conclusion... technology is a blessing and a curse ;-)
An image from February and my first go with the new Sony.
This tree is often photographed and is only a few miles from home.
As far as I am aware it has not been shot from this POV. Getting there required duck taping my waterproof trousers to my wellies and wading across a river so that I could climb the opposite hill to get a wider view and a different composition. I arrived while it was still dark so head torch and a good stick helped me avoid any mishaps. As it started to get light I composed this and really enjoyed the gentle tones and hint of colour. Total silence no people and a flask of hot real coffee plus new camera and lenses PERFECT
