Walking in here is like stepping into my mind...Dark..loud..and mostly black.
The funny thing about the placement of this store is that 2 places down to the left is a store that is called Libby Lu's: www.clublibbylu.com/
It's pink, sparkly, and really girly. Which is the COMPLETE opposite of me.
Submitted for December's THC # 5 - My favorite Store
This popular plant, although grown as an ornamental in many Florida gardens is now considered a Category 1 Noxious weed. It is native to India and parts of Asia where the "pea-like" seeds are used to make jewelry, but they are deadly if injested as they contain abrin. (see links below)
Topic 37 in the 52 in 2022 Challenge group is I've got a sweet tooth.
My son gave me this big bar of Toblerone when they came back from their holiday in France.
Tramway Topics started life in 1962 as the joint cyclostyled newsletter of the Christchurch and Wellington branches of the Tramway Preservation Association to keep the few scattered enthusiasts informed of the various preservation plans.
In 1964 the Christchurch and Wellington branches became the autonomous Tramway Historical Society and the Wellington Tramway Museum respectively.
Later the Tramway Division of MOTAT joined in taking nominal responsibility for the journal. In practice, the 'proprietorship' of Topics was assumed by whichever museum organisation had a member who was willing and able to do the editing and desktop publishing of the journal which was marketed as a quarterly publication.
Contributing articles and photos has always been a voluntary labour of love by the enthusiast community; the editor/publisher getting a small stipend just sufficient to cover computer-related expenses.
With the publication now of the final edition 53 years on, this is all consigned to history although some relevant websites nowadays continue to keep the enthusiast up to speed on the NZ tramway scene.

Mais uma esmaltação com as corujas. <3

After we wondered away from the food court we found hot topic.(One of my all time favorite stores)
I took this mainly for a friend of mine who likes the cartoon
India Day 0 - Dublin and Travel
After flying to Dubai from Dublin, we have a four hour layover before the final leg to Delhi.
A debatable topic never discussed heretofore.
Warning: Generalizations to follow:
I would contend that men and women see humour in very different ways. Who are the best stand up comedians? Men. Who has the silliest sense of humour? Women. Men can tell you a great joke. Women can do something so silly that you're left with no choice but to smile.
Let's define silly, shall we? When I look up the word in the dictionary, these are some of the words used: happy, innocent, pitiable, feeble, foolish, absurd, lacking good sense. This is where, I believe, many people trip up and dismiss silliness as a negative display of communication.
Laughter is a bond strengthening tool. It's a fact : ) Women often communicate things on a level most men do not understand. What if silliness with the intent to elicit laughter was just good sense when creating a bond between two or more people?
I'd like to now provide examples of women on Flickr who exhibit the best form of silliness in all its glory. Note that these women have drawn many contacts to them through the use of their silly talent:

I found this Monarch resting on a haystack at a local nature preserve. The right fore wing was completely broken off. I took some photos of it, then gently placed my finger in front of him. With no hesitation, he crawled on and then up onto my hand. He began to shiver, as though warming himself (?) I placed him upon a rather tattered Cosmos blossom and he immediately began to feed. So perhaps he had his last supper, before fading away.
The cover of Herts & Beds Topic magazine, issue dated July 1970, very typical of it's day, with two young ladies (swimsuits by Silhouette, picture by David Ward) playing a bit too close to the river, having arrived by Beach Buggy....

Topic of the Day - Flower (your floral tribute)
Tulips are one of my favourite flowers as they come in so many diferent shapes, sizes and colours. They look great indoors or outside in the garden.
Topic: Insects are everywhere. Photograph a bug in your environment (no spiders - they're arachnids). (@DeForestRanger)
OK, dear Crow, please help me find a bug in pouring rain when it's dark outside. And I do not plan to get soaked :)
So, there you go, a bug in (un)natural environment, with rain (or proof of presence thereof) in the background... I swear I'm going to submit a vindictive Daily Shoot subject proposal... errr... errr... sports cars!!! Maserati, to be precise. Revenge is sweet.
Strobist info: SB800 zoomed to 105mm, manual power of 1/64 through a homemade honeycomb grid coming from camera left to illuminate the bug. SB900 as fill to illuminate the board and blinds camera right, zoomed to 24mm, bare, bounced off the ceiling and the wall, manual power 1/128. The flashes triggered by the commander unit in the camera. Ambient light (streetlight) used to illuminate droplets of water on the window pane.
Postprocessing: SOOC (in my interpretation; it's a raw file converted to JPEG in Lightroom without editing)
PS. I'm sure DeForestRanger knows I'm only teasing. I won't submit impossible assignments. Contrary to what others do!
PPS. I won't be poisonously bitter anymore. No, really. OK, just a little.
PPPS. Seriously, I wanted to shoot a grasshopper or a fly or ants, or so. Well, stretching it a little, a little frog... But then, on my way back home on foot from the train station I needed to stop for 30 minutes and wait under some balcony for a merciful soul to pick me up. It's been raining cats and dogs for 2 hours or so. No chance to do this assignment today in Warsaw.
