After a couple of days on the beach it was time to stretch the legs, so we're off to walk up the Panagia Iconistria Monastery. It's a bright sunny day as the sun dapples through the trees.

Part of the old boiler system for Tower Bridge that powered the engines to lift the huge spans across the river.

This will be my second photo submission for the InspireMedia’s theme/topic (connect/verbind) exhibition held later this year. I took this photo a while ago on October 6th 2017 on the GroteMarkt in Groningen. For me this is connection. Art meets in the street with a proud smile showing what he made so far. He (Rene) creates his art drawings often with twoo pens at the same time. When-ever you see hem (sitting, looking and drawing at the same time) stop and make a chat with him he would like that. His proud and friendly smile shows that. I choose this photo not becuase of it’s quality (my learning moment) but because of the interaction. The interested vibe to it and the joy that art can give within somebody’s heart. And the mine becuase i was also smiling at the same time. Thankyou! Rene for letting me share this photo your’re amazing🎨. InspireMediaGroningen www.InspireMedia.nl

The 10/9/17 topic for Macro Mondays is Side Lighting.

Per the group's instructions, "Side lighting creates drama by enhancing contrast and emphasizing texture and pattern. Specifically, for this week’s challenge, we are looking for hard key light oriented at right angles to your camera."

So, for this image, I laid a remote flash unit on its side on a level with a sheet of sandpaper and washed a stream of light across the surface of the paper at a right angle to the camera. It may not be the prettiest picture in the group, but it sure does emphasize the drama of harsh side lighting.

Every time it rains I think of the lyrics to Tony Toni Tone's song, "It Never Rains"... well this week here in SoCal, it literally rained for like 4 days straight.

"Now it may be cold on the east coast

but on the other side of town it never rains...

It never rains in southern California

It never rains in southern California

It never rains in southern California

It never rains in southern California"

Contest topic: Science and Discoveries

I've spent some time to finish my pic for this month's contest! My boyfriend gave me the idea and I thought it was great! I have made some little changes only. I had to sew the monkey suit for Allen (it only took me a day, though), to take some photos and then... Photoshop! I wanted a white background and, although I used a white backgroud for my pics, I had to clean it a lot! It was quite troublesome because in my screen it was white, but when my boyfriend saw the pics in his Mac, he told me there were lots of mistakes ><

Well, at last it is finished!

UPDATE: I won the contest! ^o^ I'm happy, although it's only a forum montly contest :p My prize is to organize the next contest and I have already decided the topic.

GRACIAS.

Hot Topic's Hot Pink Iridescent Blue Violet Glitter polish with their Hologram Star polish. My 2nd attempt in doing gradient nails. I've had this on for a week, so a little tip wear.

The color is absolutely gorgeous, but application was a complete nightmare. It was TOO thick to evenly apply, dry nail polish chunks were in there, and the brush strands were uneven, like a bad haircut. I was so frustrated with it overall.

Even though I love glitter and hot pink on nails, I don't think I'll be pulling this one out in a long while.

The Hologram Star polish was okay. I had to dig to get a star though.

They were remodeling the Hot Topic at the Cary mall, so they moved it to an empty storefront. Unfortunately, the empty storefront used to be a Bath and Body Works, so some of their gothiness has been rained on.

Thanks for your visit, fav, & comment (even short!) :) :

ODC - Radical Point of View is the topic for Tuesday 5 May 2020

Right now there are two points of view on how the beach should be, usually we get to drive on most of it, there are the ones that want to keep it shut down to driving on it, yes it is nice not to see any cars on it, but most of us drive responsibly, my husband loves to surf perch and you need to be able to drive to where you want to fish, there are older people that can't walk far and they love to drive it, we love to take our jeep drive slow from one end to the other so I can take phots, but we also walk on it. so how do you please everyone. What is the right answer.

After a few days on the beach we decided it was time for us to stretch the legs once more, this time with a walk around the headland of Kanapitsa. It was also a good excuse for Niqui to wear her new hat we'd found while out in Skiathos Town one night
