Interesting topic of conversation while on our photo walk. What would life be like living in Melbourne's Docklands? Plenty do. I certainly couldn't cope with the commute to work and I'm not so sure about the crowds. The views are great and it would suit my photography style, but I think I'll stick to the humble burbs for now.

Title: Venice, one of the most beautiful cities dell'Italia
First of all, I want to say this is the last pic I have to take for the contest. After this round, it will be the final round, which will be dedicated to all the pics of the three finalists.
I must say I worked a lot on this pic and I don't like it... I'm so sad, because, as it is the last pic for the contest, I wanted it to be awesome... Morever, I worked a lot with my boyfriend to make the walls, the bridge and so, and I'm quite disappointed that I couldn't take a better pic :( I had to photoshop it a lot ><
Anyway, I'm glad this is the last pic, I hope Ichigo makes it to the final round after working so hard for many months.
Another from the archives, so looking for something bit different.
This 'art' installation was from couple of years ago at the Swell Beach Sculpture festival.
A pyramid of bread crates, which I thought was so clever. It survived the 2 weeks of the exhibition on the open beach at Burleigh Heads.
Getting nearer Troulos now but this old gate caught our attention as the skies slowly darken with the approaching storm.
A few days ago I posted a photo of my orchid, houseplant which had not bloomed in five years. This is the first flower to open! You can view the buds below.
These large Tomte's (the largest stands at 18" tall) are Niqui's latest crafting creations. Traditional in Scandanavian folklore, I've always loved Tomte's and these are wonderful (in my humble opinion).
The detailing on the hat is all hand embroidered and the body is needle felted as is the little Christmas tree on the smaller one's hat.
Harry has heaps of energy, loves everyone and everything.

La plaza toma su nombre de la majestuosa y hermosa basílica de S. Giovanni in Laterano ubicada en la plaza de Porta S. Giovanni . Algunas excavaciones realizadas debajo de la basílica entre 1934 y 1938 identificaron los restos de un gran edificio de la época julio-claudiana, completamente reconstruido en el siglo II. Bajo Septimio Severo, las paredes de esta casa fueron cortadas a media altura y sobre ellas se construyó el nuevo cuartel de los " Equites Singulares".", la guardia de caballos del emperador. El área y la basílica deben su nombre a la familia de Letrán rica y noble que tenía sus propiedades aquí, luego confiscada, a principios del siglo IV, por el emperador Constantino, quien Se estableció con su esposa Fausta después de la victoria sobre Majencio. En 313 el Papa Milcíades (311-314) convocó un sínodo dirigido a la organización de la iglesia romana tras el reconocimiento del cristianismo de Constantino: la reunión tuvo lugar en una " domus ecclesiae " en interior de la casa de la emperatriz Fausta y por lo tanto llamada " domus Faustae". En el mismo año, el Papa Miltiades se instaló en el palacio imperial junto con su Curia y en la práctica fue la primera residencia solemne del Obispo de Roma, destinada a convertirse en la sede de los pontífices romanos, o el Patriarcado, durante toda la Edad Media.
en 1735 la fachada de la basílica fue construida por Alessandro Galilei, encargada por el papa Clemente XII (1730-1740), con dos órdenes y cinco arcos, marcados por pilastras y medias columnas. Entre las dos órdenes, una inscripción recuerda que la basílica de Letrán es la "Madre y Cabeza de todas las iglesias de Roma y del mundo", mientras que una segunda inscripción, colocada en el entablamento, recuerda los trabajos realizados por Clemente XII.

Las palabras relevantes de Dios
La aparición de Dios se refiere a Su llegada a la tierra para hacer Su obra en persona. Con Su propia identidad y carácter, y en la manera que es innata a Él, desciende entre la humanidad para llevar a cabo la obra de comenzar una era y terminar otra. Esta clase de aparición no es una especie de ceremonia. No es una señal, una imagen, un milagro o una especie de visión grandiosa y mucho menos una clase de proceso religioso. Es un hecho real y verdadero que cualquiera puede tocar y contemplar. Esta clase de aparición no es en aras de cumplir un trámite o de una labor a corto plazo, sino que es para una etapa en la obra de Su plan de gestión. La aparición de Dios siempre es significativa y siempre guarda relación con Su plan de gestión. A lo que se le llama “aparición” aquí es completamente diferente a la clase de “aparición” en la que Dios guía, lidera y esclarece al hombre. Cada vez que Él se revela, Él lleva a cabo una etapa de Su gran obra. Esta obra es diferente de la de cualquier otra era. El hombre no la puede imaginar y nunca la ha experimentado. Es una obra que da inicio a una nueva era y termina con la antigua, y es una forma nueva y mejorada de obrar para la salvación de la humanidad; más aún, es una obra que lleva a la humanidad a una nueva era. Esto es lo que significa la aparición de Dios.

Jesús dijo que Él llegaría tal como se fue, pero ¿conoces el verdadero significado de Sus palabras? ¿Pudo realmente habérselo dicho a este grupo que formáis? Sólo sabes que Él llegará tal como se fue en una nube, pero ¿sabes exactamente cómo hace Su obra Dios mismo? Si de verdad fueras capaz de ver, entonces ¿cómo deben explicarse las palabras de Jesús? Él dijo: Cuando el Hijo del hombre venga en los últimos días, Él mismo no sabrá, los ángeles no sabrán, los mensajeros en el cielo no sabrán, y las personas no sabrán. Sólo el Padre sabrá, esto es, sólo el Espíritu sabrá. Ni siquiera el propio Hijo del hombre sabe, ¿y tú eres capaz de ver y saber? Si tú fueras capaz de saberlo y verlo con tus propios ojos, ¿acaso estas palabras no se habrán dicho en vano? ¿Y qué dijo Jesús en ese momento? “Pero de aquel día y hora nadie sabe, ni siquiera los ángeles del cielo, ni el Hijo, sino solo el Padre. Porque como en los días de Noé, así será la venida del Hijo del Hombre. […] Por eso, también vosotros estad preparados, porque a la hora que no pensáis vendrá el Hijo del Hombre”. Cuando llegue ese día, el Hijo del hombre no lo sabrá. El Hijo del hombre se refiere a la carne encarnada de Dios, una persona normal y corriente. Ni siquiera el propio Hijo del hombre lo sabe; así pues, ¿cómo podrías saberlo tú?

Esta vez, Dios viene a hacer la obra, no en un cuerpo espiritual, sino en uno muy corriente. Además, no sólo es el cuerpo de la segunda encarnación de Dios, sino también el cuerpo a través del cual Él regresa a la carne. Es una carne muy corriente. No puedes ver nada que lo haga resaltar entre los demás, pero puedes recibir de Él las verdades que nunca antes se han oído. Esta carne insignificante es la personificación de todas las palabras de la verdad de Dios, la que emprende Su obra en los últimos días y la que expresa todo el carácter de Dios para que el hombre lo entienda. ¿No deseas enormemente ver al Dios del cielo? ¿No deseas enormemente entender al Dios del cielo? ¿No deseas enormemente ver el destino de la humanidad? Él te contará todos estos secretos que ningún hombre ha sido capaz de contarte y Él te hablará también de las verdades que no entiendes. Él es tu puerta al reino y tu guía a la nueva era. Una carne tan corriente contiene muchos misterios insondables. Sus hechos pueden ser inescrutables para ti, pero el objetivo de toda la obra que Él realiza es suficiente para que veas que Él no es una simple carne como la gente cree. Porque Él representa la voluntad de Dios, así como el cuidado mostrado por Dios hacia la humanidad en los últimos días. Aunque no puedes oír las palabras que Él habla, que parecen sacudir los cielos y la tierra, ni ver Sus ojos como llamas abrasadoras, y aunque no puedes sentir la disciplina de Su vara de hierro, sí puedes oír de Sus palabras la furia de Dios y saber que Él muestra compasión por la humanidad; puedes ver Su carácter justo y Su sabiduría, y darte cuenta, además, de la preocupación que tiene por toda la humanidad. La obra de Dios en los últimos días consiste en permitirle al hombre ver al Dios del cielo vivir entre los hombres sobre la tierra y permitirles que lo conozcan, obedezcan, reverencien y amen. Por esta razón, Él ha regresado a la carne por segunda vez.

Behind the Balti Jaam Market, is this more Bohemian part of Tallinn. A park has been given over to street artists and some of the work is quite eye catching to say the least.
Yes, I realise this topic has already been talked over many times on our humble photo gallery. This time however, we have another big developement in front of us.
The famous Polish ban on photography had not really been in power, no matter what any person said. You were fully permitted to photograph anything you want, as long as you were on public grounds, which is a reasonable idea. All is to change now though.
My first post in this "no photo" topic has been published on 6.02.2024, when the Polish Ministry of National Defence published a draft of the ordinance containing the description of a "Photography forbidden" sign, along with many other things. This ordinance is what is required for the photo ban to be implemented in practice, as per a law published all the way back in 2022. The draft remained all that, just a draft, up until... this very day, 3.04.2025. It is now a full-blown ordinance of the allmighty Minister himself.

The ordinance itself, numbered 432 can be seen here - dziennikustaw.gov.pl/DU/2025/432 - contains a PDF file with the ordinance and a graphical display of the sign.
From now on, any person responsible for the security of an object of critical infrastructure (whatever that means...) will be able to hang out these legal signs and there is nothing the poor citizen can do about this, even when standing on public grounds.
*The ordinance comes into effect 14 days after its publishing, you have time until the 17th of April. For real now.*
